Road Trip - Top Live Performances

Hey everyone! I’ll be taking off on a cross country road trip in august (moving from Mass to Oregon) and I’m looking for anything to fill my time in the car. So I’d like to pose a question to the group:

What are your top DMB full concert performances? These can be live releases or tapes. I plan on downloading the top answers to build the soundtrack for my trip.

7/2/2004 - SPAC (SiriusXM show). Djamieb’s remastered copy of this show is better than most LT’s.

    11/2/98 LT

One of my favourites. Real energy here.

Well, my only suggestion is to play a Massachusetts show on the way out of town and start up the Oregon LT (Salem show I think) about 2 hours out.

And maybe a home-state show for every state as you drive through. Pickings may be slim/nonexistent in some western states, though.

    I second this.

LT 3 and 8 are my most listened to LTs. I also really enjoy LT 47 with Bela Fleck.

Aww, thanks for the compliments, y'all!! I jumped into this thread to throw out some song suggestions, and reading those posts made my day!

@DontBurnThePike: Congrats on your move! Hope you have safe travels, bud. Here are a few of my favorite live performances. (This is by no means an exhaustive list, just a handful that immediately come to mind that I've enjoyed on road trips over the years.)

    Seek Up - Warehouse 5, Volume 2
    Dancing Nancies - RR '95
Two Step - Live Trax, Volume 47 (with Bela)
#41 - Warehouse 5, Volume 1 (or Live Trax, Volume 1; same performance, slightly different mix)
Busted Stuff - Live Trax, Volume 3
American Baby Intro - Live Trax, Volume 10
Out Of My Hands - Haiti Relief EP
Lover Lay Down - Live Trax, Volume 17
Say Goodbye - BOWA, Disk 2
Proudest Monkey - Live In New York City
The Stone - Live Trax, Volume 8

And if you're in the mood for Dave and Tim at any point, Live Trax 48 (Birchmere) is absolutely incredible.

I must be in the minority on it.. But 48 doesn't do it for me.. It's a sleeper.. Obviously not terrible. Nothing D & T early days is, but I prefer Prism or the 96 XM show that was out last year. just my opinion.

I have listened to this more than any other live set since he posted it. It's fantastic.

Same, you deserve the praise, thank you for working on that project! First time my wife was in the car when I pulled it up and she saw my searching for music in the Dropbox instead of Spotify/Apple, she said "what the hell are you doing? Is this a DMB thing?" I had a hard time explaining but she rolled her eyes then enjoyed it.

Ahahaha!! Amazing. My wife would have said something very similar if I was diving into Dropbox to play something in the car. And thanks again so much for the compliments. I loved working on it and was happy to share!
