Fantasy Football 2020: Talk, Advice, & Start 'em, Sit 'em

First draft was Friday night. 12 team 1/2 point ppr. We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 RB/WR/TE flex. I'm happy with the results. Lamar was my keeper.

QB - Lamar Jackson (keeper), Cam Newton
RB - McCaffrey, Chris Carson, James White, Nyheim Hines, Adrian Peterson
WR - Tyreek Hill, Lockett, Robert Woods, Sterling Shepard, Golden Tate, DJ Chark
TE - Gesicki

Second draft is this afternoon and is a bit deeper. 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 RB/WR, and 1 WR/TE.

WR: Devante Adams, Julio Jones, Jerry Jeudy, Cee Dee Lamb, Anthony Miller

I love Marvin Jones Jr this year, think he has a better season than Golladay.

I hope. Have him as a WR3 or 4 in a couple leagues. Would be some nice depth.

He's always going 4 or 5 picks ahead of where I'd take him, but don't want to reach for him with the pick before. Sucks because he looked good last year and will probably be just as good if not better this go around

    Pick 1

    Desean Jackson
    Will Fuller
    Philip Lindsey
    James White

Gut and bias are going with Desean...He had a monster game 1 against the redskins last yr before getting hurt, and I feel like he's probably wanting to explode this week

Fuller is my pick, but DeSean could be a boom or bust vs. Washington.

Houston/KC should also have a lot of pts and I'm sure Houston will be throwing a lot. Eagles/Washington could be a slugfest.

Excited to see what Haskins does, I think he's an underestimated guy. Washington is made up of a hodgepodge group of guy but as it goes, they'll probably win the East this year.

Cut down on leagues this year - only doing 2 that really count (co-managing another for an old work league). Relying heavily on the success of CMC + Hopkins + Godwin in the below. Went WR heavy:

    QB: Stafford / Rodgers
    WR: Hopkins / Godwin / A. Brown / Lazard / Jefferson / Watkins
    RB: CMC / Ingram / Dobbins / J. Howard
    TE: Engram
    K: Tucker (always)
    DEF: Minn

Final draft last night, I went a little crazy on RBs/WRs

    QB: Rogers, Cousins, Lock
RB: Elliott, Johnson, Fournette, Akers, Kelly, McKinnon
WR: Godwin, Diggs, Lockett, Fuller, Hardman, Jefferson
    TE: Fant
    D/ST: Chicago
    K: Elliott

12 team, full point PPR. Pick 4: Lockett (vs. Falcons), Allen Robinson (vs. Detroit), Edelman (vs. Dolphins), AJ Green (vs. Chargers), Marlon Mack (vs. Jags).

He will be legit terrible this year. And likely will be his entire career.

We're all on the same page. Sweet. Had a friend trying to convince me to start Mack.

Of course, as I'm writing this, Bleacher Report just pushed out a notification that said: "Colts see Mack as RB1".

Edit: Chris it was Jeff, lmao.

I’d consider Mack over Edelman this week, I don’t think Taylor is gonna get that much work week 1. Can’t say I’ve seen any numbers on Edelman’s projections though. I could see Mack getting a catch or two, 70 yds and a TD.

I think my gut is still saying Desean- he always plays "up" to big games. For him this a huge game- not only a comeback from a year-long injury, but going up against his former team

Rodgers. Lack of pass rush + young, inexperienced corners. Plus, fuck Cousins. I'm biased though

RB... wouldn't want to play either of those guys in Week 1 TBH.

Chargers... Burrow's first game. Could be a big point day, or maybe he totally tears it up.
