I didn't listen to a lot of new albums this year, but The War on Drugs and The National would be my top 2.

Nice work, Ants! One of the better lists I've seen. I am surprised War on Drugs came it at #1. I liked it, and it think it was towards the bottom of my top ten, but I have a hard time seeing that at #1.

Also surprised at all the love Isbell's new album is getting. I thought it was so pedestrian and compared with his better works like early DBT and Southeastern, it totally misses the mark. Easily his worst project since his efforts on DBT's "A Blessing and a Curse" IMO.

Didn't get my list in but I think the results are deserved. Would have had Big Thief, (Sandy) Alex G, Los Campesinos all in my personal top 10 tho

Not many people had it listed, but Cut Copy - Haiku From Zero was my surprise #1 for the year.

Amazing album start to finish. Check it out if you haven't listened to that one.
Vinyl sounds fantastic.
