It would be so fucking awesome to hear those songs performed this tour. Vocally, John has improved tremendously since the early 2000s; I would love to hear live recordings of RFS and HT songs where he isn't using the super breathy singing style he utilized during the early part of his career. I really hope the full band Neon finally makes a return.

I read that it's a solo tour (like just him solo with no backing band like Ed Sheeran has been doing) or were the descriptions simply referring to him touring not part of Dead & Co.?

I think it's the latter. Solo as opposed to Dead & Co.

Colorado gets fucked on this tour. Either see him with Dead & Co. in Boulder or go to a festival in Aspen.

So glad he's in Columbus on a Saturday. After the NE Ohio/Pittsburgh area got screwed on DMB dates this year, JM coming around is a nice consolation prize. Hoping for St. Patty's Day, Wheel (almost anything on Heavier Things), and any Continuum/Trio tunes.

Agreed. I'm glad DMB puts the dates up, gives the Warehouse a few weeks, and then it's basically a month before they go on sale.

I have a 4-year old and a busy job; its hard to know what I'm doing next week, let alone 7 months from now!

That being said, I'm hoping to go to the Nashville show. I like 2 sets and more Mayer.

Does anyone know how to get a presale code? I signed up for the thing yesterday but all it sent me was a text that said it will send me a reminder to buy tic this morning.

I haven't gotten anything yet. I'm waiting for 10 a.m. CT and thought it may come closer to time.

Seated just emailed and texted me: MAYER2019

There is also an AMEX Presale too at the same time. I clicked on some cities already on sale and there are a variety of tickets. The Platinum, but then JM ones and pretty good AMEX ones too. $150 apiece for most.

I got a text 5 mins before onsale. Unless it changes the code is just MAYER2019.

Buddy got a better pull on the AMEX presale, ended up in one of the front three sections on the floor for pittsburgh.

Got a couple seats in section 1 for the United Center. There were actually plenty of great seats available (and still are). Overall an extremely pleasant ticket buying morning!

Came in here to say this. $70+ fees for a decent upstairs seat is not bad at all. Comes out to like $92 total. I'll pick up a ticket at some point for DC, at that price point there's no way I'm missing this show.

Nashville, as it always does with any big show, saw the great tickets go fast. It took me a few minutes in the holding room to get in. I passed up 15-17 rows back in the floor, for the section on the side of the bowl, about 10 rows up. I think a slightly elevated view will be good (I was about 14 rows back on the floor 2 years ago when he was here). They were $182 apiece after fees.

Totally forgot about this until 30 minutes after. Amex Preferred seats came up with Center Floor row 25, but my wife wanted to be higher or closer up to see better. Oh well, we'll try the public sale on Friday.

In Nashville the "best" uppers were $95 apiece before fees. $75 was midway back and $55 was in the very back (I'd never sit there for a show in Nashville, not even DMB). I'm a seat snob.
