again I guess my brain is just wired differently but I would much rather know the consonants than the vowels. I try to come up with 1st words that have as few vowels as possible.

to me it's a numbers thing--there's a much smaller world of vowels that can possibly be there, and that world shrinks even more when you know the consonants

Suggesting this with the knowledge that most answers are not a plural version of a word — you could make a four-letter word (not a swear, a word that is four letters lol) into a plural, i.e., newts or runts or bands

You're kinda locked into throwing S on there every time that way, but it's a thought

Started yesterday, have a 4 consonant starting word, and got yesterday in 3 tries.

For those not agreeing with the strategy, hasn't Wheel of Fortune proven this is the right strategy?

Pat: "Give me 5 consonants"

Contestant: "R,L,N,S,T"

Pat: "And now a vowel"

Contestant: "E"

....

Pat: "You're going to Cancun!"

My starter word contains 5 of the 6 letters above
