Coldplay was incredible.
Don’t know that I’ve ever been to such a big concert that fell so intimate. They played a venue that was built in the 30s and trying to fit 60,000 people into an area that was not built for 2022 traffic made it difficult to get in. Uber driver initially wanted to decline the ride when he found out where we were going but then agreed to get us within a mile. So we walked the rest and got there for the opener at just before 8. Caught last couple of songs from opener and then sat there for a looong break before Coldplay came on just before 9:30. From that point on, it was surreal how involved everyone in that massive stadium was. Ended up knowing all but a handful of songs and every one of their upbeat, non-ballad songs had the stadium (literally) shaking. In fact, my wife got cramped in our section so we took a quick break out to the concourse during La Vida and the bathroom stall walls were moving
.
Fix You is probably my favorite song of theirs and it was hard not to shed a tear or two. Gave me goosebumps. My second favorite was the improv Dallas song that they played during their short two-song acoustic set:

Overall, going into I had low expectations since I’m the most casual of Coldplay fans but the show/experience blew my mind.
