I love when they have all the band members talking about how Jimi Thing is the song that perfectly showcases each and every band member at a show, and they go on and on and on. Then it says “Here’s a live version” and then the studio version plays.

I also heard Dave talking about playing Two Step in the encore at Giants Stadium. It was a really cool story about how it started pouring rain as soon as the intro climaxed. Then they played studio Two Step. I’m 99% sure that he was referring to the Two Step from 6.11.2001, which was released on The Best of What’s Around Vol. 1. Surely they have that track available.

I’ve been really enjoying Siriusxm lately between the Grateful Dead station, the Phish station and the DMB station. But just some little things like the two above examples could make the DMB station even better.

Exactly right. Also no reason for anyone to have requested Sam Cop. That song has been played a million times in full band and solo sets with the Come Tomorrow press tour etc.

I have also noticed a few of these instances where the following song doesn’t line up with the anecdote given by a band member. Gives credibility to the theory that they have everything on an iPod Nano playing on shuffle.

I think that had to do with the 4th of July Live Weekend they were pitching. 7.2.19 will be this week for sure.
