UTTAD 25th Anniversary Release

Looks like there will be a re-release promoting the 25 year anniversary of UTTAD - which is Sept 27.

New shirt/vinyl combo in the store but not able to purchase as of now. Assuming this will be announced along with the new DMIve vinyl that was first released at the gorge.

Seems to be the same description as the existing LP that’s currently for sale so I’m assuming its the same remaster from the 20 year release.

This Bundle Includes:
Under The Table And Dreaming Anniversary T-Shirt
Under The Table And Dreaming LP

Under The Table And Dreaming, DMB's 1994 major label debut, has been newly remastered from the original flat analog tapes and is available on 2 180 gram LPs. The deluxe package includes an eight-page book packed with previously unpublished photographs in a limited, numbered gatefold jacket as well as a download card featuring the album and three unreleased bonus tracks, including the original studio version of live favorite “Granny”and intimate acoustic versions of “Dancing Nancies”and “The Song That Jane Likes.”

In the past month, 1 poster here has bought and listened to the new DMBLive release, so I'm sure that person is clamoring to buying another record to listen to.

Will we get the UTTAD 30th Anniversary release before anything BTCS related?

The only thing that would make me buy is if "has been newly remastered from the original flat analog tapes" means they went back a re-remastered, truly all analog, and this version will stand alone from the 2014/2015 cut.

    I'd be 100% all-in an a AAA UTTAD.

Otherwise, this is pointless and WHERE THE FUCK IS BTCS

If it is indeed a new remaster AND AAA then I’ll be buying.

I'd be shocked if it was a new remaster, though. I think the wording in the post above is exactly what was used back in 2014 (which was misleading, as it wasn't all analog).

Edit: They did move the UTTAD vinyl to the top spot in the webstore:

    Quote:
This is a pre-order. Expected ship date is October 11, 2019.

20th Anniversary - First Time On Vinyl!

Please note this item will ship on or around October 11.
So my guess is this is not new. they're just going to trot out the same exact product as a "25th anniversary" with a new shirt. And still no BTCS.

People getting a chance to buy the DMBLive 98 show will be good though.

Missed opportunity for a new 5.1 mix, I’ll be too busy this weekend listening to the new Dolby Atmos mix of Abbey Road that the postman is scheduled to deliver before 8pm today.

Let me know how it is! I won't get a chance to listen in Atmos until next weekend.

I don't want to jump the gun on what any bundles might look like... but it would be a bit weird if they bundled it with the recently only-available-at-a-handful-of-west coast-shows-that-only-1-person-on-this-site-has-and-has-listened-to since it's a 98 show... but stranger things have happened.

    Re: UTTAD 25th Anniversary Release

So they release the 1998 DMBLive (which was initially intended to be released with BTCS) for the 25th anniversary of their 1994 album; and they offer a "25% discount" on the exactly same UTTAD LP from 2014/2015; which still puts it at $10 more than the price for the album on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Under-Table-D...s%2C175&sr=8-1

    Oh, but there's a shirt.

What the fuck is management thinking?

Edit: At least the DMBLive is only $34.99; that's a good price for a 5LP

This is a joke right? They've taken the DMBLive 25 logo and just recycled it for UTTAD. And then they slapped the cover art on the other side. For $25?!?! I'm sorry but you should get a free bowl of soup with that shirt.

And there's no bundle option for the new DMBLive, it's just kinda there.

UTTAD25 is bigger garbage than the nonexistent BTCS20

Yeah that shirt is ugly as hell, looks like something some random person slapped together in like 15 minutes.

Uh... yeah, but where's the R2T 25th anniversary release? And what about the Recently EP 25th anniversary release? Did I miss those?

I think I'm going to pass on this one and just wait for the UTTAD "30th anniversary re-re-re-release" in 5 years... rest assured they're already planning that one.

By the way, what is BTCS? Is that a Dave Matthews Band album I'm unaware of?

UTTAD would have made a perfect 45rpm 4LP deluxe edition release, no side over 10:08 and no segues broken. The way vinyl is still going these days, a new AAA cut presented over 4LPs could easily have listed for $69.99~$89.99. I would have paid that in a heartbeat to get a definitive AAA pressing of this stunning major label debut.

    Such a shame.

The worst part of this is that their "anniversary discount" on the 5 year old LP still costs $10 more than the album does on Amazon (though slightly thinner vinyl and non-gatefold).

And that t-shirt is god awful.

    And where is BTCS!?

Honestly, unless they explicitly come out and say it's different from the 20th anniversary release, then I would assume that its the same, and they're just using the 25th anniversary to market it again and make a few more bucks.

I see no reason to rush to "pre order" this.

They won't, because it's not. Confirmed.

Just got the email... this really reads like it's something 'new' rather than just being the 20th anniversary LP restocked. Are they just trying to rip people off? Or is it really an updated version?
