Carey probably read his reviews and determined the same thing. No one was falling over to bring Carey back like the devotees of Alec Baldwin's Trump.

I was just happy to have Carrey on SNL multiple times. His Biden impression was good, IMO. I'm excited to see what Moffat does as Biden, but honestly I am just tired of the political sketches.

Yeah that's terrible news. Saw this a little bit ago, very sad to see he needed help but also very happy to see it's available to him and he accepted it. One of my favorite comedians in the game right now. Really hope for nothing but the best for him.

Heidi Gardner and Mikey Day are getting really annoying... I don't know why they get put in nearly every fucking sketch. Mikey Day is at least pretty solid but Heidi needs to take a hike.

And I liked Carey's Biden but I'd rather a regular cast member get that part. When they bring in a celebrity cameo every week, it kind of loses its magic.

Oh and ditto on the Bruce opinion. Dude put out one good album and has been riding that wave for almost 50 years...

I thought the Christmas morning/opening presents skit with everyone getting awesome gifts and the mom getting a robe was hysterical, but this past week’s episode was mostly bad.

She's peaked and its time for her to move on. Same arc as Wiig. The characters she does just aren't that funny anymore.

Not really huge fans of any of those people but I'm interested to see what the skits/cold opens will be without Trump in office. Not that I hated the Trump stuff; I just hope the writing gets more creative.

Really strong selections for both host and musical for the next three weeks. Hope the writing is up to snuff.

Hope we get some kind of goth skit the week Phoebe is on. Dan Levy as a goth could also be funny.

we just had the inauguration for a new president. Maybe next year that works, but politics is all the rave right now.
