What I enjoy about this song is how prominent Dave's guitar is. It's a heavy tune with the the baritone, Stefan's grooves and the overall tone of the song, so to have the guitar stand out and play a dominant role is nice to hear.

Lyrics are pretty obviously about toxic gun culture, mass shootings (and perhaps even school shootings specifically), and the inaction of those in charge to make any meaningful change to stop it. At least, that's how I read it.

It could also be a generality where "gun" is being used instead as "your weapon" and talking about divisiveness, gun culture, vaccination thoughts, politics, media.. everything. I'm liking the return of Dark Dave. He's pissed and it helps his song writing.

Well, this was a nice surprise. Really like it after the first couple listens. Catchy, interesting, and really just has some balls to it. Hopefully it sticks around and doesn’t disappear after this year and is never heard from again.

I think one of my favorite things about this song is my first thought was "well, this is going to get really heavy and loud when Tim comes in and I hope it doesn't drown out the song". But Tim doesn't even really come in hard until the last 30 seconds, and when he does it makes the song end powerfully. It's a heavy loud song but one driven by Dave's guitar riff and the horns.

Also, I didn't know Dave could write riffs like this anymore. That breakdown after the first verse, whew

I'm so pleased that Dave is able to write a political/social song and not bang us over the head with straight forward lyrics. He allows the listener to interpret what he is saying as opposed to bluntly telling us.

A far far step away from "We should let the children lead the way".

Extremely impressed and hopeful for the new album. I also love the melody. Pure speculation but it seems Buddy has had a positive influence on the melody of these songs. He's very present on the harmonies.

Love the music to this one. It’s dark and and middle Eastern. Plus the sax at the beginning sounds very Roi like. I feel like this song is older, and they’ve been sitting on it for a while.

Am I the only one that’s not crazy about the lyrics? Maybe the lyrics aren’t too clear right now, and that’s the problem. I have no idea what he’s saying a good portion of the song. I don’t like the vocal delivery either

It feels to me like he is telling a story of a kid becoming a mass shooter. But within that he is talking about the broader problems and culture of everything with Covid and politics as well. The opportunity for a jam to me comes in the two breakdowns when Dave has that awesome guitar riff I could see them jumping into a solo by either Jeff and or buddy/Tim in each different section kind of like how they do Jimmy thing it’s going to be awesome I see this being a 6-8minute song by the middle of next tour. I also think on the album if they do have strings like we think it will make it a lot fuller and really make it a perfect recording probably up there with some of the best of the last 15 years.

Been here a while, but have lost touch w the band. I live in Columbus and didn’t go to the show by choice last night simply outta choice. Much more into the jam band scene anymore with Spafford, Goose, Eggy, Umphreys…but this reminds me why I fell in love w this band initially. Best new song in a long, long time.

I agree 100% i love the high energy songs where daves guitar is featured as opposied to the post roi era where many times a trumpet or electric guitar overpowers dave's guitar.

An awesome thing about 2021 is dave's guitar in the mix has been turned up and old sounds sound as they were intended to sound instead of the Tim C/DC or roarshawn show playing of dave.
