I do not miss the t-rex stage of puppyhood. Apparently it lasts the longest with labs. Had no idea until we had one. It was a hellish 8 or so months.

I can't even imagine 8 months... We are waiting impatiently for Zeke to warm up to her so that they'll start playing together. Right now he just ignores her and so she gets bored.

On the other hand she's only has two accidents in the house and is learning to tell us when she needs to go out. I'd rather teach her to stop eating the blankets than be scrubbing piss out of the carpet every hour

We’ve had the old dogs home for 4 weeks now… every day is an adventure and my face hurts from all the smiles. Last night was a momentous occasion… they all laid down together.

Riff (our 1yo yellow) has only very rarely settled down on his own. It happened less than a handful of times before Pumpkin and Doby arrived. He’s still a wild child but he does eventually just lay down. I love that they’ve taught him to relax!

That's so awesome! This is why dogs are the damn best!

I always forget how big the one dog is (Pumpkin I think?) and then putting them next to the other two, daaaaamn Still a beautiful pupper though

Yeah, Pumpkin is huuuuge. But she’s down 4lbs since she’s been with us and we’re a week into a program after meeting with a specialist. She’s already moving around better. Feels so good to be helping her out and she seems to be loving it!

That's awesome! 4lbs for a dog is probably like 20 to us! She's gonna be jumping around doing flips and such before you know it.

Don’t think she needs it, but bought a dna test for Callie. It’s her Christmas gift, we do it for all our pets. So she had to be included.
