I feel like I remember being annoyed by her the first go-round.

Upon second rewatch I saw how real she was and critical to the story. I mean the actress basically played herself.

That S4 (?) opening scene at the hardware store is gold. "So what man, you earned that bump like a muhfucker, man, keep that shit."

I’m not denying any of that. I simply don’t like the character, at all. On S5E2 right now, my second go round, just not a fan of the character.

That shit sucks. I was in the middle of a Justified rewatch while riding a stationary bike for several weeks when they took it off Prime.

I didn’t mind Snoop. Always needed subtitles though

The only character I couldn’t stand was Marlo. I understand he’s supposed to be portrayed as cold and ruthless but it just got boring after awhile. Prob the most 2-dimensional character in the show.

I heard the actress who played Snoop was an actually girl from the streets who visited the set one day on a previous season. They liked her so much that they gave her the role.

For me Bubbz would be my favorite character arc and Bunk would be who I think is the most entertaining character. Not discounting your picks.

Bubbz was great. Loved how he turned out.

Bunk had some amazing lines.

I finished a rewatch on thursday. with every passing rewatch, season 5 just is worse and worse. it's honestly awful.

Why do people hate Season 5 so much? I thought it was a good way to wrap up the show. I thought 2 was widely regarded as the "worst" season. I'm not sure I could pick a worst myself; they all feel too integral.

The Glass journalist thing, and Mcnulty faking the serial killer? That's B-level Dexter/SOA type stuff. This show was at its best when it was grounded.

I was skeptical of McNulty's stuff in S5 too but it ended up working for me. It seemed like the logical step he would take after everything that happened in the show up to that point. I definitely need to watch the show again though; only seen it once through.

I don't remember my thoughts on S5 on my first run through. I hated S2, for sure.
I've rewatched the whole thing at least three times now. I've mentioned it before, but I've come to realize that the only reason I hated S2 is because of how much I loved S1. S2 left that world behind and I wasn't ready for that. It built a whole new amazing world, but I couldn't appreciate it on first viewing.

yeahhh the serial killer thing is pretty egregious and imo hurts this show’s “best show ever” argument. i mean it’s such a jump the shark moment. the season and SERIES would’ve been so much better had that plot not existed at all. that’s how much it hurts the show for me

Season 5 is really good, just pales in comparison massively to season 4. Bubbles' redemption alone is worth it.

And that's a grounded element of S5. There's definitely good stuff in S5, it's just always going to sift to the bottom of the series due to the previously mentioned bits.

S5 is the weakest for sure

I think I'm gonna go with S3 for the best
