I hear you. As I said, I've always liked seeing the Avs do well, as Forsberg was my favorite non-Flyer for years. It's a shame things went the way they did for him once he finally got to Philly.

Not entirely true. You've missed the fact the Flyers defense has actually been very improved over the last few months, and you're undervaluing Rinaldo big time. Other than that, you're all good

'95, '97, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2010 were not early exits.

Just because the Flyers haven't won the Stanley Cup since 1975, doesn't mean they're not successful. They just haven't won the Cup. You know who hasn't also won the Cup in awhile? Vancouver, Toronto, the Rangers won in 1994 but hadn't won since 1940, Boston was in a terrible drought until they won in 2011, same with Chicago in 2010.

The Flyers have the second highest winning percentage in NHL history. They are successful.

I kind of alluded to this the other day when I was talking he and Perry up, but I'm liking him the more and more I watch him. He's matured into one of the league's premier all-around players and leaders. Decorated too, eh? Two gold medals and Stanley Cup, and he's not even 30 yet. Not bad.
