Just bought a ticket from Umphrey's at Red Rocks

    6/23 - Umphrey's McGee - Red Rocks (with a 3rd set as a Led Zeppelin tribute set)
6/8 - Garth Brooks - Broncos Stadium (considering; no ticket yet)
7/31 - Peter Frampton Farewell - Red Rocks (considering; no ticket yet)
8/1 - Weird Al w/ The Colorado Symphony - Red Rocks (considering; no ticket yet)
    8/23 - DMB - Fiddlers
    8/24 - DMB - Fiddlers

i'll probably end up going to all the ones i'm considering. just haven't pulled the trigger on tickets yet.

for those of you who have been to football stadium shows, i'd like your opinions on seats. assuming price is within a few bucks of being the same, would you pick a seat in the lower level but at the far end of the stadium, in the upper deck around the 50 yard line, or lower level behind the stage?

Been out of the OMAM camp. Maybe I’ll listen to their new stuff and track down a ticket. Caught their first show ever in Chicago at Park West. Super tiny. Got right against the stage. Hung out with them after for a bit. Super adorable—they were doing all the things they could Bc they didn’t know if they’d be popular enough to ever come back to the states.

Never done the behind the stage thing. Monsters of Rock @ Giants Stadium prolly 30 upper deck stage to our left. Metallica & GnR (same) 200 level right of 50 (maybe the 40 or closer) with stage to our right. Macca (same), upper deck leftist, but not quite the corner (way back). The Who (yup) also upper deck, slight right of center opposite end of the field.

I loved all of these shows. I remember lining up outside a party store in wee hours on Saturdays to get tix for these shows...in way back, long ago...

The only downside was Paul forgetting to play Maybe I'm Amazed...a bit disappointed, but still an amazing show overall. In the end, I've been good at accepting the seats I get and enjoying the hell out of each show I've been to.

Out of those 3 options? lower level at the far end of the stadium

But I've only ever had field seats for stadium shows if you can find a price you like for field always go for that in a stadium

I had to scratch The Who because I’ve seen them enough and I haven’t seen Travis Tritt since 2003 (@WVU and it was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen) and I’ve never seen Charlie Daniels. I can’t swing back to back nights.

3/1/2019: Aaron Watson; Jergels Rhythm Grille – Warrendale, PA
3/21/2019: Whiskey Myers; Stage AE – Pittsburgh, PA
3/23/2019: Whiskey Myers; House of Blues – Cleveland, OH
5/30/2019: The Who; PPG Paints Arena – Pittsburgh, PA
5/31/2019: Travis Tritt (with The Charlie Daniels Band and the Cadillac Three); Stage AE - Pittsburgh, PA
6/28/2019: DMB; Deer Creek; Noblesville, IN
6/29/2019: DMB; Deer Creek; Noblesville, IN
7/21/2019: The Struts (with the Glorious Sons); Stage AE – Pittsburgh, PA

I'd probably take lower-level behind the stage as long as there isn't an obstructed view.

I saw DMB in an arena with behind the stage seats once. It was neat to watch Dave's faces when he turned around to look at Carter and, since I've seen DMB a bajillion times, it's a cool novelty.

I'm trying to think of a time when I have in a stadium.

The last two concerts I've had tickets for have both been cancelled due to weather (Justin Timberlake, Art Garfunkel). Keep in mind they were both INDOOR shows. I guess God is not wanting me to see a fucking live show. I've got a Neil Young solo show on the docket for tomorrow night, so if it actually happens I'll be thrilled.

That should be awesome...quite jealous. Neil’s a favorite and I’ve seen him once and it was amazing. Every clip I’ve hear and seen of him solo has been spectacular.

At the two Neil concerts I’ve attended, the solo songs were the highlight of both performances, so I’ve been really looking forward to seeing an entirely solo show for quite a while. His voice has held up remarkably well over the years. Should be good!

I sat “behind” the stage last night at Garth. I use scare quotes because there is no “behind the stage. The stage is in the round and there’s no true front or back of it. I’ll try and post a pic
