    It was bad.

Completely disagree with you. Completely. Way off on the energy.
Ending w I Did It wasn't good but no way that encore is worst ever especially with some encores from recent years with Sister and Timebomb in them.
But just goes to show how subjective shows are to different people.

There have been some good shows in the 3.0 era but excellent shows are definitely harder to come by. I only have 3 shows since 2000 that I have as excellent(90% ranking or higher).

    Deer Creek 2006 N2
    Alpine 2012 N2
    Gorge 2016 N3

There have been lots of good to really good shows but not excellent.

Anyone remember in the past when spring tour announcements generally have hit?

I believe the official announcement usually falls in the first couple weeks of January.

If it's an actual spring tour as opposed to just starting in spring(May) like always, doesn't make me think they are changing the tour format at all. I know some of us have discussed the possibility of a smaller tour.

IMO I would think it lends more to changing the format.. Maybe a small 15 show spring tour follow by like a 30 show summer tour.

Maybe the same amount of shows in the end but theyre more spread out over the year.

I wouldn't have a problem with that. In theory it would keep the band fresher too with a small break. If there really is going to be a spring leg of the tour I would think the normal people around hear would start hearing rumblings soon from sources. That excites me

My buddy an I travel around Chicago to see them for example St. Louis, Michigan, Indiana , alpine.. And have been thinking about doing th gorge but its so expensive for everything in the middle of nowhere in Washington. We were considering SPAC instead of Gorge as our end of college shabang shows. Is SPAC worth the drive from Chicago or should we just go all out for the gorge.

Go for the gorge. 16 hour drive isnt worth it for SPAC, especially considering how hard it will be to get seats, and you definitely dont wanna be in the lawn at SPAC

I'm kind of in the same boat. I mostly hit Midwest-ish shows that I can. I decided few months back that I am doing Gorge 2018 assuming they play. I don't want to miss my chance to see them play there and who knows when the last year might be.

SPAC seems cool, but my expectations don't even compare to the Gorge. Plus the ticket situation is much worse

I dont care what they play i just wanna see them at alpine and other venues.. People complaining about sets is immature. Ive been to 14 shows and yea im a younger fan but I my my stuff. But ive never seen shak me like a monkey. And people trash that for being played so much but ive seen other songs like idea of you 5 or so times and people are chasing that. be grateful that this band exists. ya know? idk i grew up listening to luther college on vacations and love everything theve done... minus stand up album versions of course lol

SPAC is incredible, but the Gorge is your better bet and bang for your buck IMO. LIke it was pointed out, good tickets are a nightmare to get ahold of oftentimes for SPAC.

Ever since 2000, they both blow

As others stated, you can do 3 gorge for the cost of 2 spac most likely as well as get better seats.

The location makes it a commitment, but the fact that it does, makes the experience that much more special. A space filled with folks who love the band really adds to the overall enjoyment. You won't find a better collection of concert-goers on the planet. Oh and 3 shows almost guarantees you catching the must-see songs of that tour.
