probably not, but I was listening to the Chris Long podcast (if you like Ryen Russillo you'll like this)

he had Patricia on and the guy sounds pretty awesome tbh. The Long brothers were shooting the shit with him and when he left they were talking about how great of a coach he is

Doubt that means anything. Bringing in a vet makes sense for them as a backup/option if Tom really leaves.

Unless they also go after a QB it will be pointless

I love Patricia, was so happy when they hired him and want him to work out so badly

People seemed to love him at the Senior Bowl too

Sucks that the results haven't been there, I give him a pass for this past season because of Stafford getting hurt but he has to turn it around

i dont think the ravens will be as good (14-2) next year. i think they will be a 5 seed, but they always perform better with the chip on their shoulder. they historically blow the games and situations where it is almost a given that they should win.

in terms of his passing, the leap that Lamar took from year 1 to year 2 gives me no reason to doubt that he will continue to progress as a passer. i'm not worried about his "level of play" being sustainable, as I think his style of play will change and mature from year to year (read: scramble a tad more to keep passing plays open without relying on running for 10+ each play, only run to take wide open lanes, etc). that being said, i haven't heard any official rumbling that Roman is leaving. i think it is stupid for him to leave now. give it one more go with Lamar before jumping ship. i know he interviewed already but nothing more than that, even after their loss

He needs to get better passing. He took some massive strides this year but he also had some cushions the size of Texas to feed throws in because everyone was so worried about him taking off. Great QB, definitely, but for this style to maintain he's got to start making the difficult passes.

That’s just the “don’t blame us if he leaves we offered 30M” from the pats

Now Girardi is saying he doesn’t want 30M he will take less for weapons. Which is Brady saying “don’t blame me I said I’ll take less for weapons” if he leaves. And i think Brady is smart enough to know that’s not how it works

If they don’t sign him before March 16 it’s going to be almost impossible to do either one of those scenarios because of the cap hit

I still have no clue what I actually want, it'll suck to see Brady play somewhere else but it probably isn't best for the team to keep him, all conflicted over here. I do appreciate that this thread is already Pats thread '20-'21 though.

You dummies are dumb. Brady is coming back. Keeping Tom is best for the team... so is getting him a couple of decent weapons.

Keeping Brady for like 1/15 is best for the team. Sure.

Trading first/second round picks or giving a ton of money to big name FAs is not. Or 2/60 for Brady

They can afford to give Brady 2/60 and still go out and get other talent. Pats are always waaaaaaaaaaaay under the cap.

Well they need to do it before 3/16.

Because that will be 13.5M of dead money on top of that 2/60 to Brady.

Dalton wouldn't keep his job if they went under .500 so it would most likely be a mix of dalton and stid

    this.

they have the money to spend so a 1/15 offer like dmbsu said makes no sense. I just don't see them letting him walk and taking a 13.5mil hit. that's huge dead cap money

can't they re-sign/restructure him at any time since he technically has a deal on the books for this year if he wants to opt in?

They can sign him now. And they need to if you really think they can wait until he is a legit free agent absorb that 13.5 on top of whatever they end up giving him and sign “weaponzzzzz”
