I'm usually talking to people and lately I've been getting about 1 date every other week, I have no idea if that's a lot or a little. I'm on Match, always thought dating apps were stupid until being single while attending weddings of people who met online and have the love and happiness I'd like.

I don’t know man. I didn’t hear it used like that until 2020 I think. Maybe 2019?? It totally made sense tho. A lot of people named Karen when I was growing up were the “I want to be a bitch for no reason” type. They would be people that tend to make a mountain out of a mole hill out of every situation. They also just looked like they are mad at the world. I’m not even joking. I guess a lot of people had same experiences with lady’s named Karen.

Woke up to a bumble message this morning that read, "Jesse, we've matched 3 times now... Can we just go on a date already?"

So we're going for coffee and a walk Super Bowl Sunday morning as it was the only window we could make work in the next week. She's 33 and I'll be 30 in May - not super concerned about it, but it is something I think. This is the first real date I've had since my breakup which was over a year ago. Second bumble date ever, first was my first date in Denver with the girl who I ended up with for 3.5 years. Probably gonna cut into that 1.000 BA.

Just gotta actually get back out there and try some real dates instead of just banging my co-workers. Restaurant schedule has not helped me one bit to be fair.

We were texting today and I let her know what my upcoming schedule was for the week and she responded "how do you even date? " I responded with "I don't... It's why we've matched like 3 times." She got a kick out it.

Fingers crossed it goes alright and she's fun. Never gonna be more ready than now.

Forgot to follow up in here. The date went fine. I think we're a bit too opposite lifestyle for it to really work. She's a 5am yoga and meditation kind of person, and I'm going to bed around 1 or 2am. I also found her kind of boring, she was really sweet and we hung out for like 2.5 hrs, but I wasn't really taken with her at all. Not even really hookup material either. Oh well.

I've got a few matches on tinder of all places that have been going alright and have some potential. Just happy to be over the breakup hump and back out there again.

Also, this girl I’ve been hanging out with for a while gave me a Valentine’s Day card. I keep cards on my refrigerator. Just read a card my ex gave me for a birthday. Similar themes.

Today is a forced holiday but I was really looking forward to it this year. Trying not to bum myself out. I have two best friends who I love and made a insta post about them today. Trying to find warmth through others and not dwell on a ex. I've been talking to a couple people recently and it's pretty much down to only talking to one. She's been waiting to get vaccinated for us to hang out, and I think we're going to a brewery next weekend. Hoping it goes well.
