^ yes! small but necessary wrinkle in his game

shooting luck on our side today! Gay and Mills have gone absolutely bananas from range, and Aldridge is eating on the pick and pops

Brooklyn and Milwaukee are pretty fun, neither has any interest in showing their hand and are largely feeling each other out. no interest in guarding each other which is fun too

the screen and rolls for Middleton down the stretch look good. didn’t love him rejecting the screen on that three pointer at 30 seconds.

Brooklyn’s offense down the stretch is obviously good lol

    clutch stop!!

cool game. understandable they didn’t try the first 40 minutes but they made up for it. can’t really draw a ton of conclusions except for the end, loved seeing them both explore their options down the stretch

Bucks shot pretty bad. Nets shoot over 50% from three. I'll take a two point loss. Bud still with weird play calls and rotations.

too much chill mode for the Lakers. really important for Schroder to get those 4th quarter minutes though

Nah, I think Kyrie is a human who understands that there are more important things than basketball. Call him whatever you want to call him for his flat earth stuff, but when it comes to problems with sports and professionalism and when it comes to social justice the dude is spot on.

LeBron sucked all game. AD wasn’t much better. I really wanted Kuzma to get the final shot last night, he was actually hitting.

can’t believe Bledsoe/Ball along with Williamson/Adams is still a thing they’re trying to force

Utah is so good lately, yeesh

Dort has become a reliable shooter, what a great story

Justin - I know it's too early but as of now, at this point, which team would you pick for playing the Lakers?

    Re: The NBA Thread

you mean for the finals? or to compete with them in general?

if the season ended today nobody could compete with them in the west. and i think Utah would give them the best fight since they’ve got continuity and are firing at all cylinders ever since the New York loss.

by the end of the season the Clippers, Utah, and to a lesser extent Dallas should be legit WCF contenders. but the Lakers are only getting better too, I’m not sure those teams could take them to more than 6 games. i’ll give the Clippers the best shot still

in the east, it’s looking like Milwaukee/Brooklyn. Philadelphia i’m not discounting but we just haven’t really seen their full team play against a really good opponent yet. i think all have issues, but all 3 could give the Lakers a dogfight. if i had to choose one i’d pick Brooklyn just because no one in the east is quite equipped to guard them at full strength, and i think that’s an understatement that NO ONE can guard them if they continue using simple screen and roll/pin down actions

definitely not sleeping on Denver whose defense has been rock solid for like 2 weeks now. but we all saw what Davis did to them last year and i don’t see that changing

Thanks and yeah I meant for playing in the finals, wasn't sure if you'd put Boston in the conversation but also interested to see if Brooklyn would be the pick.

    Re: The NBA Thread

Boston needs a lot of help still. their offense is Brown and Tatum heavy and they’ve been great but nothing that jumps out as sustainable to me in the playoffs with all the other liabilities on the floor. Walker coming back to form would help a lot, but this team lacks knock down shooters real bad.

defensively, i’m just not seeing it. the effort is there and the talent is there, they’ve got a nice mix of veterans who know the tricks of the trade and young athletes. they just are not able to stop cream of the crop talent due to their lack of size and physicality. Durant, Antetokuonmpo, LeBron James, Embiid/Simmons when healthy...all gonna give them fits. broken record but PJ Tucker would help them so much

and just like that Brooklyn is being tested! this fully healthy Cleveland has been the best defense in the NBA and that’s only kind of a fluke, but i definitely wasn’t expecting this!

i mean the main issue is when Harden is the primary action, so obviously that is gonna take some time. Irving and Durant as the main action is still fire

    Dallas/Indiana is so good
