After the clusterfuck that was trying to get public sale pits for the Gorge I finally snagged a set of face value Friday pits the following day. I've been checking pits for Saturday ever since and they only got "Official Platinum" for like $330+ per ticket. Gotta think that'll come down a bit in the next 6+ months but it just sucks that after the mess of DMB's ticketing lately that they still have this platinum garbage. Like, why not fuck us in every way possible.

What have you guys done with your triptychs from the last two years? I haven’t framed mine yet because the size is a hard one (12x24). I have six frames I use to rotate my regular size posters but the triptychs remain tucked away. I especially love the apocalyptic triptych from 2021 when all heck broke loose three hours before N1.

Platinum sucks. I know the Gorge is a different animal than most venues, but last year I waited until day of for the show and platinum prices had dropped to face value or close to it for res and PIT. Might be worth just waiting. If all else fails you'll still get in with a lawn seat, though not ideal, it will let you spend more on beer!

had full plans to frame the '21 trip. i love it.

it's in the framing queue, but my framing queue is low on my $$ priority list right now (and just in general).

didn't buy last years, i think it sucked.

I have an extra Terrace camping pass if anyone would be interested in a discount? Face is $1071, I can instant transfer thru TM for $1000. My lady accidentally bought 2 and we’re trying to find a way to get that money back

I also didn’t take at first to last years because I loooved ‘21. I bought it anyway and I’m glad I did because at Alpine last year I got a poster from the same artist. Together, they’re great.

I was hoping to find a non-professional framing option but 12x24 is a hard ask. Hmm actually I just found a single frame 36x24, I think that works.

I've ordered this size off Amazon before for a tour poster. Not sure if this is what you are looking for. I used the gray one because it went well with the poster, but they have black too - real glass which is nice.

Good afternoon Gorge! Short time lurker, first time poster. Got a few logistical questions regarding the Gorge. My wife and I will be making the trek this year. We are by no means superfans, in fact she's never been to a show, and I have only been to three, but the Gorge has long been something we were intrigued by.

Anyways - we are working a show into our 5 year anniversary trip, so can only do 1 night. I purchased Premier camping (Yeah yeah I know, a lot of money for 1 night). My primary question is what's the camping situation like if only showing up for 1 night? i.e. do you end up with a terrible spot if you show up on Saturday morning vs Friday morning or Thursday evening. Debating N1 or N2 (bought tix for N1, but N2 may actually work better). If we do N1, is it a weird look to pack up and head out on Saturday? I get the sense the Gorge is a lot people showing up to all 3-4 nights.

I read the FAQ, very helpful. I have fond memories of long days tailgating at Alpine with my buddies, so looking to replicate that with the wife come Labor Day.

Appreciate the info in advance, I'll be following this thread all the way until September.

first of all congrats and welcome to ants and the gorge thread!

    2) you will not have a "bad" spot if you arrive friday or saturday, you will just be filled in wherever there is space. premier has tons of space.

    3) I would recommend n2 if you are going to do JUST one night, but if you can swing two nights, I couldn't recommend that enough. It's not about what everyone else does, but to REALLY get the experience of the campgrounds and gorge--it takes more than one show

90% of the people camping are there for all 3 shows. That doesn't matter, and no one will give you death glares (at least serious ones) if you have to leave, but not many people show up only to camp 1 night.

feel free to ask as many questions as you need!

Showing up midday Friday/Early Saturday actually gives you your pick of spots because, from what I recall, there is no one directing to parking spots. People were just coming in and setting up camp wherever they wanted.

For posterity while relistening to 2022. Supporting acts have been announced:

    2022: April 27th (w/ Alpine)
2021: April 22nd (with the whole rescheduled tour, I believe)
Then I believe the rest came with the tour announcements, but someone feel free to check me on this

Any recommended towns on the way to the Gorge from Seattle to spend the night (good bars, breweries, restaurants)? Arriving Wednesday and would like to drive part of the way, find a place to stay, enjoy the town, next day grab all our food/drinks (also looking for recommendations for where to do this on the drive out) for the weekend and head out .

I see Ellensburg from the FAQ, is that what people would recommend? Any others? Thanks!

Ellensburg on way in. Levenworth on way in or on drive back to Seattle . Kitch but fun, and lots of accommodation choices.

Re: ***Labor Dave Weekend at the Gorge 2023!***

Hey, so long story short, seeing DMB at the Gorge has always been on my DMB bucket list. Always talked about doing it LDW but it never happened. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, I find out the artist that I play for got offered a gig on LDW Sunday in Colville, WA, roughly two hours from The Gorge. I made a special request to get in a few days early so I could do Friday at The Gorge so it's finally happening.

Need some advice though. So I'm flying into Spokane and get in around 10am local time. It's roughly a two hour drive from the airport to the area of the amphitheater. I guess what I'm trying to figure out is has anyone here ever made that drive? How bad is it? And then what's the hotel situation like since I need to get a hotel in the area before leaving for Colville in the morning on Saturday. Any sort of advice is greatly appreciated. Super pumped to finally check out Dave at the Gorge.

Super easy drive, you'll be headed largely in the opposite direction of traffic IF you are doing the drive on Friday/Saturday. Sunday/Monday, youll be in the direction of traffic as it comes back into the Seattle area on i-90 and it's a fucking parking lot pretty much from Easton all the way through Snoqualmie, but I just reread what you posted and you shouldn't have to worry about any of that.

Moses Lake will be your last decentish town before getting to the area of the Gorge, so I'd plan to stop there for supplies if you need them, or just do it in Spokane if you're already there. Hotels can be found for inexpensive in Spokane, just keep in mind that they'll probably not be the greatest. Spokane has a nickname of Spokompton for whatever reason, it's not like its all that bad but it's definitely more run down in some parts than others. Avoid your usual low rent fare like Motel 6 and you should be good.

Fantastic advice, thank you. Honestly, I'd like to find a hotel that's closer to the venue since I figure just to head back to the hotel after the show and leave in the morning for where I'm meeting up with the rest of the band. And then I assume parking isn't that bad at the venue or is getting a parking pass something that needs to happen?

Drive is easy. 2 hours of straight interstate until the exit to the Gorge. As for hotels, I’m not sure as I always camp. Moses Lake, Quincy or George I’m guessing are the closest towns to the venue.

Seat locations are up. My N2 RESVD 2 pair I sold ended up being in 202 row 13. Last year I got 202 row 8 for N2, so the split into two pricing levels definitely further screwed up seniority.

N2 & N3 - sec202 row 16 & 15. Not bad but not great. Hopefully close to an aisle vs being smushed in the middle of the crowd..
