Re: **Dave & Tim Mexico 2023**

Anybody else worried about the pool parties? I see no mention of them and can easily see a band as big as Mt. Joy not wanting to do them...

They're mentioned on the D&T website under "Experience" and they were mentioned on the announcement email. They're happening.

If Mt. Joy doesn't participate, you can assume the other acts will. Joe Lawlor did one last year too.

Yea count me out on the Joe Lawlor experience. Saw him when they were a last minute fill in for Scary Pool Party.

I feel like they announce the full schedule much later. Many of the bigger openers don’t do pool parties (Brandi and Amos come to mind) but they still had daytime concerts by other artists.

By the dashboard history posted a page back could be as late as early December but any day now I hope. I’ve switched to weeks on my countdown cause 10 weeks 6 days feels shorter than 77 days!!!!!!!!!! (My countdown is until 3pm The 14th cause that’s the last hour of work before adventure starts! And it starts with a lovely Valentine’s dinner with our boys before we send them to bed……. Not to be seen until the following Tuesday.) Let’s Go!!!!!!!!!! Also now trying to justify Phoenix and back the Friday prior.

Apologies. You are correct!! That looks like an uneven comparison. At time of post countdown read:

    10 weeks, 6 days, 22 hours, 46 minutes.

My group has been to Mexico many times but we are still contemplating an excursion. For those that have been, should we just skip it and stay at the hotel the whole time (with the exception of a dinner or two)? Stuff to do all day/good atmosphere at the hotel each day?

We've been every year except 2019. We went to Xel Ha (like a natural water park) in 2018 I think. It was fun and we were glad we did it, but we also decided we probably weren't going to do any more after that.

We have 4 kids (who stay home with their wonderful grandparents!) and at this point, we'd just prefer to stay on the resort and relax. Also, like you said, there's a ton of activities on the resort too if you so desire.

Most of the food/buffets just off the pools/beach are pretty good, but definitely check out as many of the on-site restaurants as you can if you haven't already. Most are pretty great

It looks like Mexico has started doing away with the FMM you have to fill out before you enter. Does anyone know if that's the case?

There is still a pretty good selection of packages directly on the website. Unless what you are looking for specifically has sold out.

Last year was our 3rd time to Mexico for D&T but first time we did an excursion. My 2 cents - We loved staying at the resort the entire time the first 2 trips. And probably enjoyed a tiny bit more by doing the Catamaran excursion last year as it was nice to go offsite for 1/2 day. Highly recommend that excursion if you are considering. But, whether you do one or not, your are guaranteed to have a great time. Hope that helps.

I never did the excursions because a) had done similar ones on previous non-concert trips to Cancun/PDC and b) didn't want to get up at 6am, especially the mornings after shows.

Not officially announced but they've never not done it so it's safe to assume they'll do it again.

    And you just show up

Yes, the packages I am interested in are either sold out or waitlist. I was hoping to find a D&T soulmate who I can help take the cheapest package off their hands lol I’ll keep my eyes peeled. The Facebook group hasn’t approved me

I have hardly seen any packages for sale. They are being extremely strict on transfers. The one or two I’ve seen, have been very expensive /deluxe type rooms.

Just stay at the resort. Think about how much we’ve already spent to be there

Definitely not any of the cheaper packages available.

Guess someone needs to go in and clear the requests
