My only concern is the easing of restrictions understanding people can get vaccinated but aren’t. It seems there’s an incredible amount of focus on herd immunity and I don’t want to get stuck in mandate limbo because we haven’t reached it.

When I heard about wearing 2 masks, the first thing I thought of was "Seven Minute Abs!"

Right - but at a certain point, vaccines will be readily available to who wants them - and at that point, it's all personal choice. If they don't want to get it...oh well. Good luck, I guess.

Stop panicking about the COVID-19 variants, says UCSF's Monica Gandhi

    https://www.sfgate.com/news/editorsp...o-15961073.php

In a nutshell, the vaccines are still extremely effective in preventing severe illness/death with the variants. The decrease in efficacy is seen in mild cases, so more people may end not feeling well but will not end up in the hospital or dead. This messaging is important.

30% won't get the vaccine according to a recent poll. That is like 100 million people. That's millions of chances for new variants to take hold. That's still millions of people who could get really sick.

Sorry, but you choose not to take the vaccine then and you get COVID then it's your own fault and I have no sympathy.

...but that's my point. The messaging around vaccines needs to be improved and maybe that 30% of not smart people can be reduced.

Amazing what a reduction in anxiety can do for overall health.

My in laws are “long haulers”. They got COVID super bad in mid December. They still have serious fatigue, respiratory struggles when doing tasks that were not previously something that required much exertion, and chronic coughs.

Hoping they experience symptom relief when they get vaccinated.

Have muskie tell them it's anxiety. Suck it up, buttercups.

This happened a lot last week in PA.
It was a combo of weather and apparently the state sent out 55,000 second doses that were mislabeled and given out as first doses (it’s the same vial / dose, just earmarked for different people).

My parents were due to get their second dose this Friday. Over the weekend, it was cancelled. On Monday, they got an email that more came in and they got their second dose today - 2 days ahead of schedule!

There’s time for your sister. If it’s Moderna, it’s really 28-42 days.

Nurses are above and beyond. Most people will never have the slightest idea, that's because they're doing their jobs. If you have them in your life, try to do something extra for them if and when you can.

Yesterday was rough. My best advice for anyone getting their second dose is take the day after off from work and life. Pretty severe muscle aches, chills, achey joints, hot flashes, headache, fatigue. Lasted about 18 hours total. Around 8 last night I finally got a fever. Albeit low (99.8) I could tell if I didn't take something I'd get worse. Took some medicine and passed out about an hour later.

Woke up this morning like nothing happened. My body feels tired, sorta like the day after you have stomach bug. But overall I feel night/day better.

Albeit low (99.8) I could tell if I didn't take something I'd get worse. Took some medicine and passed out about an hour later.

Woke up this morning like nothing happened. My body feels tired, sorta like the day after you have stomach bug. But overall I feel night/day better.

    Moderna?
