My unpopular opinion is that I hate hearing Seek Up at a show. Whenever I hear those opening notes I die inside a little, knowing I’m gonna have to slog my way through the next 15-20 minutes. I was present at a 25 minute version of that song!! Wouldn’t have been so bad if there weren’t also 9 songs from Stand Up! 6/8/05, my worst dmb show by far.

Honestly, I'm the same way. I don't need a 19 minute seek up, I could get Raven, YNK, Break free and maybe even Joyride in that timeframe and I'd take them 10/10 times over SU.

I’d take Lawlor over Tim any day of the week. It seems that Tim stopped jamming the day that Buddy came aboard. Seems like he really gets down on two or three songs max per night.

I find the term "unpopular opinion" to be fascinating. Like, recently I've been revisiting some of the bands work from the early '00s (Everyday and Stand Up). I find a lot of the band's music from that era to be god fucking awful. And while I think the songs on Busted Stuff are superior in every way to the other albums I mentioned, I honestly don't enjoy Busted Stuff as an album because I think the production stripped the music from The Lillywhite Sessions of all their magic.

If I stated that opinion here, it wouldn't even be called anywhere near a hot take. But if I took a survey at one of their sold out shows where most people have no idea am.org even exists, my opinion would definitely be considered unpopular.

I just find that interesting.

I can't find the video where Boyd performs this song with a different group, possibly The Way Back. I believe this recording should never EVER become lost media.
