Re: Radiohead Discussion
4 Minute Warning
Rarely has a Radiohead song made me feel, well, comforted. The song makes me at ease with the world, regardless of the craziness within. When I listen to the song - and I must do so now! - I simply and only wish to hide under my covers and be safe. Not because I am scared, though, but it's warm and soothing to be there.
I don't know if anyone understands just how wonderful 4 Minute Warning truly is. It soothes me like few songs do. It would have catapulted In Rainbows to masterpiece status had it been the final track instead of Videotape, which ends the album on a resigned note if you ask me. 4 Minute Warning might sound like it's okay with the apocalypse and yet still retains a glimmer of hope for the aftermath that perhaps if we run hard and long enough we'll wake up to a new and clearer existence.
The song is an epiphany.
