Exactly
Bruce - can you at least give us a hint if you know specific shows that have been looked at for this series? Or a number for how far back in years you expect them to go with this? Any little tidbit would be appreciated.

People shouldn’t get too worked up over the dates of the first few. Older stuff will come. What I would consider “unexpected” stuff will come. Give it some time.

Do we know how long these streams will last? I hope they keep cranking them out for at least as long as the tour would have been.

Not sure if this was posted already, but I've been a nugs.net subscriber for awhile due to Wilco, Dispatch, Pearl Jam, etc., and the audio from this past Wednesday's concert is now up there for subscribers. They have also posted Live Trax 1-40. I'd assume (or am hoping) that the official audio from all of these Drive-Ins will end up there. Which is awesome news.

Does Wilco stream concerts on Nugs too??

They have a very large library of concert audio ranging from 1999-2020, no video like what DMB is going this summer yet though.

That is both odd and accurate - unlike all other Sirius streams, noblesville 6/29 is in fact up for sale on NUGS. That is certainly an interesting twist in all this, but likely part of nugs’ deal with the band given nugs is handling the webcasts. Nugs naturally would want to make money off those webcasts so likely they negotiated that they’d be able to sell it.

That's good news! The problem is, I think for most of us, older stuff from this band would be considered "unexpected" at this point.

I’d say everyone’s got to give it time! The band and management and really the whole music industry is learning and feeling out this world where touring isn’t a thing at least for this summer, so bands are having to pivot. What we are getting right now is pretty sweet in terms of free content. I’ll be tuning in weekly regardless and glad to wait and see what happens....week 1 of drive in was a good 2019 show we didn’t already have, week 2 will be one that we had audio but not video, week 3 and on and on we’ll see what happens!

Some bands like Mumford and sons opted to release standalone single of an alt take of a song, some bands have done what dmb is doing now with weekly shows, and some major bands have done NOTHING. Glad the boys are doing SOMETHING.

So we've got the Youtube rip, XM rip (Im guessing though have not seen it), and Nugs posting it on their site for purchase. Do we know if this going to be the case throughout the entire Drive In season? And are the Nugs files of higher quality?

What an overreaction. Metallica started it with like 3 shows from the same cycle then took it way, way back. 1991 VHS style. Give it time, DMB will absolutely do pre 2019 shows. Then earlier, etc. It's so common for the bands to start out with the most recent stuff first.

Here's my re-mastered version of the Deer Creek show. The original mix sounded dull, the low end (especially bass) lacked clarity/focus, I brought up Dave's voice slightly, and I added in some light limiting to add more consistency and to bring the loudness up a bit more. Also there was this high pitched ring at 6kHz and 11kHz in the right channel that was especially annoying. It looked like it was mainly in between songs and which tells me it was an issue with the audience mic. I added the album work made by mquerques92 a few pages back since I'd like this album artwork to differentiate from everything else I have. I'll probably be doing this for every show they stream if the mix isn't that great too. If that's the case I hope it's at least the same as this last show so I can use it as a template. Enjoy!

They should do both nights of 03 SPAC. Killer sets on paper. Not sure what the shows sounded like

While we all hope they just pick great shows, it would be kinda cool if they did a "this week in DMB history" or if they synced up the week's show with something historic from a venue that would have been part of the tour for that week.

That 7/4/15 SPAC show the Wednesday before July 4th this year would be cool. Or a historic Gorge show the Wednesday before Labor Day (if the series continues that long).

The Hartford selection seems kinda mailed in, but I'm remaining confident we'll get some surprises and gems, based on what others have been saying.

That SPAC show from 2016 is a little overrated I think. Good show, but lots of flubs and there’s other setlists from that tour I prefer.

Isn't 16 a pretty overrated tour overall? Lots of gems but a really rough year for performances and Dave's voice? I moved that year to Denver and missed the band for the first time since the Caravan.

05/29/13. I'm sure there are better shows from that tour, but I had so much fun. Warehouse opener into IOY. Captain, JTR, mid-set Grey Street, STD Her>Hunger. I know they're not the most desired songs, but Jeff sounded great on STD Her. Closed with WWYS. Very good show, imo.

    7.25.15 - Alpine N1.

N2 was released on video so you know there is good footage, similar to the first show we got. N2 was a pretty good release and the better acoustic set, but N1 was SO fun and the better electric set. Longest show in DMB history.

Not really too worried about what they release, but that would be one I’d be excited to re-live.

Just my personal opinion, but I’ll take somewhat flubbed performances of sets like that over perfect performances of some of the other sets I’ve sat through. Again, just my personal preference.

I was at night one that year! Insanely good show and band was on fire! We did get some of the awesome highlights like the extended captain and graves with a rare (at that time) Tim solo. Would love to get the whole thing!

8.5.04. Best Of Whats Around opener, Stone set closer, and TDs of I'll Back You Up, Typical, and Lover Lay Down.

The pre-Alpine ‘04 “warm up” show turned out to be a near perfect show didn’t it? Band was so on point at this show, would love to see high quality video of it. Always loved watching Copperpot’s full show video of it on YT.
