Re: What was the last movie you watched?
I was just texting my mom about Apollo 11 being on, it was her father who worked for NASA. Here’s what she said:
“Absolutely incredible feat of science ... and luck! I still remember that day. We were all in La Jolla, CA on a month-long vacation courtesy of NASA because dad was doing work there. He negotiated we would come, too. Stayed in a hotel the month along with other NASA families from around the country. We all jumped out of the pool and headed indoors to the TV to watch!”
One of my greatest sources of pride is knowing my grandfather had a hand, however small, in putting man on the moon. He worked in the nuclear propulsion division, so he was part of the team who developed the propellant to get the astronauts into space. A literal rocket scientist. One of the greatest men I’ll ever know.
