Ok, the Chargers injuries made them equally as talented as the Giants.

Brady still doesn't have to have a great game for the Pats to win.

I went into TJ Maxx today and they had this huge display of Giants stuff in the front of the store, including these t-shirts that say:

18 wins and one GIANT loss. Better luck next year Pats."

I'm convinced that we are now jinxed. You can't be selling stuff like that already.

Actually, New England sports fans are the opposite of ignorant. The term 'ignorant' means not being educated on something, and Boston sports fans are very educated about their teams....

So your comment is the only ignorant one...

NE sports fans are far from being ignorant.

Only an ignorant person would make such an ignorant assumption...

Fans from every fanbase are ignorant. Tons of success throughout this decade, however, has given many Boston/New England fans a sense of invincibility and they talk shit like they can't lose.

So that is being too cocky, not ignorant.

Some Boston fans might be too cocky and homerific, but they do know their shit and they do know what's going on in the league.

I think some people here just flat out don't know what the word ignorant means, which is ignorant in itself.

    Re: Superbowl XLII

Aside from the percentage of New England fans who are ignorant, like in any other fanbase, there are the ones who act like no other team aside from Boston teams have a chance to win, and if they do it's the upset of the century.

They're the ones who refuse to acknowledge that the Pats haven't been dominant throughout the second half of the season like they were the first. They refuse to give Eli any bit of credit for a phenomenal postseason and assume he is going to choke the Super Bowl away. They are so used to things going their way during big games recently that they refuse to think anything but their team succeeding is an option.

It is ignorance, but I would think it would be easy to get used to the kind of success Boston teams have had lately and think that way ...

I don't know of any fellow Pats fans who refuse to admit that Eli has been playing well, or that we played our really dominant football in the first half of the season...

I think that you are basing this opinion off of maybe a couple people, which is ignorant in its own. Unless you actually KNOW what it's like in New England, than you're speaking from an ignorant opinion, no offense...

I've know multiple people, both in person and on the Internet, who refuse to acknowledge that Eli played a very good last weekend in the conditions he played in. These same people also assume Eli will not show up next weekend, despite great efforts the past three weeks.

And how can I be ignorant if I mention a certain group out of a fan base. I didn't mention the fanbase as a whole. And you questioned others about the definition of ignorance ...

And unless you actually KNOW what it's like in every other professional sports city in America, how can you call Boston fans more knowledgeable than others. Do you see what I did there.

im a big new york guy, love the yankees, love the giants, love the rangers. but most of you know, i can talk any aspect of any game, without being a homer. of course im going to battle for eli, i mean lets be serious. but i can honestly tell you, romo is going to be back, brady will dominate until hes 50, and the redsox will be very good for the next 5 years at least.
