Re: It's official; Five Guys > In N Out

Five Guys is so overrated. Not advocating for In n Out but Five Guys just gets way too much hype for an average burger.

This survey wasn't ranking fast food, it was ranking fast food chains. It would be impossible to judge if every mom 'n' pop joint out there were in the running.

I think it's overrated but still the best east coast fast food chain to get a burger.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find many large fast food chains that put out better products than 5 Guys.

I think everyone gets that. It's a pointless popularity contest. Taste wasn't even factored in.

I forget what I always get from there but it's like a cheesesteak on sourdough bread. One of my favorite things of all time.

Dude Red Robin is bomb. I love it. The bleu cheese burger is great, the bbq burger is great. Red Robin > most fast food burgers

Would anyone consider Red Robin fast food? It's a pretty large chain itself... Red Robin has the best burger I've ever had.

That would imply which do you prefer for taste. I mean obviously McDonalds would be the most popular by just popularity standards.

Yeah, and how the food tastes has nothing to do with how popular a restaurant is

I wasn't arguing against the survey, I was arguing against those who claim that eating Five Guys or In-N-Out is the greatest thing ever. They're great fast food burgers, that's it.

I dunno maybe it's just me but I dont really categorize Red Robin as a sit down place like Fridays or Chilis. I guess I wouldn't really call it fast food either...

Either way Red Robin burgers are where I go when I want a good burger. I try not eat fast food.
Only when it's last resort. When Im really craving diarrhea Ill go for Taco Bell though.

You go in, are greeted by a hostess, are seated, handed menus, and then waited on your entire meal, after which you are brought a bill. It's a sit down restaurant. It has a pretty casual atmosphere, but that doesn't make it fast food.

Im talking about In N Out. It has a lot less locations than Five Guys. So it is Less Popular that doesn't mean it is not the better burger.

Honeslty, every time ive been there I've sat at the bar and ordered a beer and a burger. By the time my beer is almost gone my food is in front of me... It's not fast food but it's faster than most sit down places. They usually have a shit load of workers cruisin around that place too.

    5 guys - 750+ locations
    Panera - 1,400+ locations

    5 Guys still won.

Also, I never said 5 Guys was better than In n Out. I've never even had In n Out. You were the one claiming that taste wasn't a factor in the popularity of restaurants.

Man fuck Panera and their $11.00 bread bowl of soup with a bite of chicken that does nothing for me.

Also how is Panera fast food? I've always waited forever for my food there.
