I can't remember... did we go to the same HS?

I graduated in 95 (queue the old man jokes) so DMB was just starting to hit. I only knew 2 dudes that liked them... 1 classmate who listened to absolutely everything and my brother. It didn't hook me until Crash (the song Too Much specifically) came out.

Same here. Might be the area (very wealthy area in Southeastern Wisconsin, 30 min from Alpine), but yeah, my HS took my DMB love to a new stratosphere, and now out of all of them I might be the biggest fan

Absolutely. I graduated in 2006 and there were plenty of people in my graduating class and those before and after that all listened to DMB...and this was in West Virginia.

Im a '96 graduate from central PA (half hour from Hershey), bigger HS with around 2200 students (my graduating class was 550). Concerts in general were a big thing my junior and senior years, having a car and a job (we would see shows pretty much weekly in the summer months). Was always a big deal when popular acts came around, but DMB after my senior year (my first show) was a huge deal that summer. Had to have been 1/4 of my senior class there! They were certainly popular in the area back then.

Merrimack... not sure why I thought you went to MHS.

I mean, you're not getting any younger either there pal... graduated Nashua before the split. That seems like a hundred years ago.

Graduated HS in '04, and there was a moderate dmb following at my school/local area. I had my group of friends who went to Deer Creek every summer from '02 on, as well as any other stop that was driving distance for us at the time. I also had friends who hated dmb, and typically just used the line "they suck" when talking about them. These were also the friends who though Petey Pablo and 3 6 Mafia were the height of musical genius.

Graduated pittsburgh suburb area high school in 99. DMB was huge. Everyone knew them, not everyone liked them. Didn't hurt that we lived 15 minutes from star lake. Always seemed like the biggest concert of the year

Graduated HS in 09 - only DMB fan I knew was my senior English teacher who had Wilco and REM posters in the classroom.

My sister graduated in 00 and went to a couple shows at Riverbend during her college years. DMB was much more of a "thing" for her generation.

My parents saw DMB in 97 at Riverbend with friends of theirs and my dad immediately went out and bought Crash on CD after the show experience.

Not surprised they weren’t on the show, but DMB was the furthest thing from irrelevant in Columbus, OH from 96-00 when I was in high school. If you were out driving around on a Friday night in the spring of 97 you could be sure to hear any song from Crash within a two mile radius. Seeing DMB in the summer at Polaris Amphitheater was the thing to do.

Crash, Dave and Tim and Before These Crowded Streets were all pretty huge releases st my high school.

I’m surprised... they were one of the most popular bands of the 90s and they got about three seconds of screen time.
