A lot of people compare this band to of monsters and men, but as a whole lumineers are 10x better. Little talks is the only song by OMaM that I really like at all, and I've listened to their album several times.

Disagree. I dig this album, but I think it gets a bit repetitive. I have trouble listening to the whole thing in one sitting.

I never really got into of Monsters & Men. They are in the same stylings as Them and The Head & The Heart. Still quality enjoyable music.

I could listen to this album straight through the first 5-10 listens but it is a little reptitive for me now as well.

Haven't listened to the OMAM album.

But anyway...I agree with the OMaM/head and the heart comparison; but for whatever reason I just really enjoy head and the heart far more than OMaM. And stylistically neither of them really sound close to the lumineers but I guess they got famous around the same time so that's where the comparison comes in. I can see how the lumineers are repetitive to some but I just love their sound so much the repetition doesn't bother me.

saw them last night and had a great time. At one point, they unplugged all their instruments and ditched the microphones and played and sang away 100% acousticly

You think maybe the avetts are too big to be opening for DMB now?

They opened for them at The Gorge. I would really only consider it for a hometown show in NC. The Avett's are way too big to be the 7pm act anywhere else.
