From a cinematography standpoint, it was a gorgeous film.

The story was mostly weak and the characters mostly forgettable.

Eternals was cheeks. I have no desire to rewatch it and would only begrudgingly watch 2 if had the post-credit characters included as main characters.

    True

I have zero idea how reputable this website is, but Iger has been pretty up front about quality over quantity

Spotlight shows are meant to be things that you don’t need any knowledge going into it. I’ve never heard Daredevil linked to that.

Marvel seems to have bigger plans for Daredevil. Born Again is basically season 4 of the Netflix show. I think we’re getting at least 2 seasons of it? Seems murkier after the retooling.

We’ve seen him in No Way Home, and Feige is rumored to want him and King Pin to appear in Spidey 4. But apparently Sony wants another multiverse movie with all the Spidey’s back. So we’ll see how that pans out, but he could become a bigger part of the movies. Where as who knows when/if Echo will pop up again.

I mean if that is the case flashbacks with Ronin/Hawkeye in Echo kind of don't make sense. It literally builds off of an existing series.

I did not verify this quote but...

So, what tenor will they be going for in “Daredevil: Born Again” and will it be whiplash for audiences again? Probably not. In a new Post-Credit Podcast interview, Vincent D’Onofrio, the actor, said the show would be taking its cues from the darker tone of “Echo.” He even said he believed “Daredevil: Born Again” would fall under the Marvel Spotlights banner, though he clarified that that’s not official, just his belief.

Sort of explains it. The spotlight stuff is all in MCU continuity. But the idea is you can watch it without needing anything else. Daredevil has more baggage so I don’t know if it will get the label. I’m not sure that it even matters.

Just watched the Marvels. Captain Marvel was almost decent despite Brie Larson. In the Marvels she looks a decade older and the movie sucks ass.

But isn't she technically 3 decades older from the Captain Marvel movie? I'm not sure why her looking older should affect the goodness or badness of the movie.

I really dug them. 30 minutes and you're out.

I've been doing this thing where I save Invincible and The Bad Batch for Saturday as a recreation of Saturday morning cartoons. Moving forward, X-Men '97 will jump to the top of that rotation.

Man, if X-Men ‘97 is a hit, I really hope they’d go back and do Spider-Man TAS (call it Spider-Man ‘98 I guess). Left off on a pretty big cliff hanger.

Would also love another season of Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, which is maybe the best marvel animated show IMO.

I didn’t read comics as a kid, but the X-Men and Spider-Man cartoons were known for being comic accurate and adapting the big storylines. They’re the main reason I became a fan of Marvel.

The popularity of the X-Men cartoon got the movie made, which in turn prompted Sony to make the Raimi Spider-Man movies. As far as X-Men go I don’t think it’s a coincidence stuff like Day of Future Past and the Phoenix Saga got made into movies after being popular in the cartoon.

X-Men 97 is super fun. Really hits the nostalgic feels.

Wanted to also praise X-Men '97 for hitting the nostalgia, it feels exactly like the show 30 years ago. The cheesy dialogue and animation style are perfect.
