This will be my first time at Bethel - Any tips/suggestions? I'll be coming with a buddy from up near Utica. I'm also curious what time the lots open and what that situation is usually like. Cheers!

I'm traveling from Utica as well, but I have to pick up a friend in Albany, I assume you're going down route 8? never gone to Bethel directly from Utica but it can be a pia to get out of the lots afterwards so FYI.

Can’t wait for this show! Managed to add it last minute and score a great lower aisle, so I’m very excited!

Pretty sure it was 4pm the last couple times I've attended concerts here. Saw a few other mention 4pm as well.

Really hope so... been chasing that for quite a while.

Also have been seeing tomorrow should be more overcast w/ passing showers. Hoping that's the case as well, because today is rough.

FYI - via Bethel FB page today.. here's an image of what the venue released as their own DMB tour poster for the show. They noted it will be available at the merch stands & in the museum store.

Obviously not the official DMB screen print, but a decent alternate for anyone who may be interested.

If its similar to one I got last year at an OAR show, size sould be around 13"x18"

Has anyone had any experience with tapers at Bethel recently? Their website specifically says no audio recording equipment, and I was going to try and get a simple setup as a backup in case nobody else can make it. I tried calling their box office and administration lines, but nobody could answer me and I left several messages to people they forwarded my calls to.

    EDIT:

Also, lots open at 3 PM (learned during my phone calls today) and that Bethel poster is pretty cool, may snag one if I can

Is the museum at Bethel interesting / worth going to? With a valid concert ticket it’s $10 the day of.

It’s pretty cool. Def worth $10. I guess it really depends on how interested you are in Woodstock and things going on in America at that time.

Great show. We had Row AAA in Section 2. When we got there, the usher told us there was no row AAA and these are considered pit tickets. Row AA was the first row of each front section. Buddy was on fire tonight. Everyday and Sugar Will were great to hear.

So much>Too Much was the highlight. Third of the crowd bounced during Sugar Will. #41 jam was lame. Everyday surprisingly brought the crowd back too life. Camden got 2 pretty amazing sets. This was a letdown.

Decent set. So much>anyone>too much was high energy, they've been playing great bayous. One Sweet World was a meh opener for me, disappointed in Sugar Will, and the jams on 41 and Jimi seemed a little drawn out and tired. Buddy is kickin

First time at this venue. First, I had no idea Woodstock was literally right there. That was a really cool surprise. I figured it was in the same town but somewhere else....Also I had no idea it was so close to where I live.

The size of the venue was very nice. My home venue (Hartford) is insane in every way compared to this place. Everything was so spread out, not overcrowded and pleasant. The crowd was Tanglewood-esque. Smaller venue, somewhat more of a respectful crowd. I usually hit 5 or so shows a year and this has to be the best overall experience ive had at a show since the first time I was on the rail. I can't wait to go back.

The show itself, not much to write home about but the overall vibe of the place and the venue itself, which is absolutely stunning made the show feel better somehow. Easy in, easy out. Well though out concessions etc. The best venue ive ever been to. Im not here to shit all over my home venue in Hartford but compared to that absolute circus, this was such a nice breath of fresh air and I already can't wait to go back next year.

This is why they don't play The Stone. Bc then they play The Stone and people don't even bring it up and still whine about the set. The performance last night was phenomenal. These are very exciting times again. Buckle in, they have a lot more coming for us this summer.

We were saying how bethel was so nice the whole night. People were great. Even with lawn chair rentals, you couldn’t do that in Hartford because people would steal them or break them.

Averaging about 6 shows per year, I've seen the Stone more than most songs and can't say it sill holds the thrill it used to. From the last year only, I have similar photos from three shows of Carter standing up and leading the chant in Foo's Rush Inn (in my former hometown, an actual Chinese restaurant with a large mural of Elvis inside). There was a time when stuff like that seemed like it might be an impromtu reaction to the audience.

I love the Band and think they are putting hard work in, playing at a high level. And I hate to be negative about anything, but that's just one song (of a few but maybe this is the best example) that was more dramatic and had more intensity with Boyd's violin. I love all eras, not just the older ones, and am open to the potential of the band with new members and keyboards, but let's be honest about one thing - a Nord Stage Piano won't ever replace Boyd's violin.

Can’t wait for more closings runs of Jimi, You and Me, Can’t Stop, Shake Me, etc, and repeat encores!!

The Stone is always nice and it’s welcomed at any show, but it’s only one song.
