Did my first non-COVID, rules be damned show last night. Saw St. Paul & the Broken Bones with about 1200-1500 people. Sweaty, stinky and strangers way too close. It was glorious. So glad things are back.

I hadn't bought tickets off ticketmaster in a while, and tried to buy Billie Eilish tickets and didn't realize they do this "waitlist...you're in line behind 2000 other people" thing when the sale goes live. What the hell is that, and how does it function? How early are you allowed to check in to be earlier in the "waitlist" I opened TM 10 mins before tickets when on sale, and clicked "join the queue" and then had to wait 25 minutes after the tickets went on sale till I could select any seats. Wasn't able to get tickets outside of picking $500 floor seats.

My theory is it's a scam to better conceal how they're holding back tickets so they can dump them into the secondary market

A friend invited me to a show at Red Rocks in August and I am thinking about it pretty seriously

As long as you enter before the onsale time kicks in it’s a random draw who is up front.

I have had luck getting in the first 250 or so people selected a couple times and was able to score great tickets.

Probably not the same show? But it gives you a chance to see them in a smaller venue if you never have


This is what I want Taylor’s next tour to be. Evermore/folklore in smaller venues, regular Taylor concert in stadiums in the same state for a week

yea I guess theres a few theater dates on there, vast majority is arenas which is standard for them.

Idk I guess I underestimate how big they are to do that many shows in each location.

Seeing TOP at the bluebird theater here in Denver which seats 550 would be so fucking cool. It was my first choice on the lottery page. I'd love for more artists to do this.
