You are probably SOL, but it doesn't hurt to try and contact the person who bought them.

You call LiveNation, give them a spiel, they will file a claim or whatever with the venue and get back to you within a couple days. Venue has to approve it.

I got a full refund after emailing the Warehouse my experience for the evening. They called me, wanted to hear my story and then said they would absolutely process a refund. I also mentioned I would never go to JLL again after this fiasco. I realize Bristow is a legacy show on the tour, but there has to be a better option. The parking situation is always a disaster and they never seem to learn from it, year after year.

The very friendly Warehouse rep I spoke to said many of the other people calling in had the same complaints about JLL and were asking if DMB would consider other area venues.

Maybe Merriweather could be an alternative?

Also - anyone know why they seem to have quit playing at Hershey?

They are only offering refunds to people who were not able to see the show.

Merriweather is not an alternative. I can't see them picking a different venue in the area unless they stop playing in the DC area.

Great question about Hershey! You used to get half off the park that day with a ticket for the show that night.

Merriweather is great for the MD side of DC but man that lawn is terrible if you care about seeing anything. The roof of the amphitheatre is ridiculously low. $5 beers in the back though.

Hershey was a pretty terrible venue to see a concert at, especially sound-wise.

Apparently MPP is much better since the rebuild. Have not been there personally this summer yet so cannot confirm but that’s the word coming from people who have been.

saw D&T there last year (on Father's Day). I was quite impressed with it, since I was expecting the same dump where we saw DMB several years ago. It's actually a very nice venue to see a show now.

Tailgating is a problem there though. We had to park in a parking garage, but we made it work.

I don't know how many it holds, but I have no doubt it's a smaller than JLL.

It's a nightmare to get there from anywhere south or west of DC. If you live in MD I'm sure it's fine. Traffic in/out of the venue can be just as awful as JLL. We saw D&T there and sat for an hour plus in a parking garage to get out. We were on the lawn and couldn't see the stage at all, but the view from the pavillion is fine.

Personally, I think it would have been just as miserable at MPP if the storm hit there. the area around MPP flooded a few weeks ago from a storm that was similar to the one at Bristow.

Unfortunately in the DC area there are only 5 "large" venues to see a show at, JLL, MPP, RFK, Fedex field and the Verizon center. All of them have some serious flaws.

Completely agree. It is a nightmare to come from VA to get the MPP. It's a nice arena when you're there. I didn't find traffic to be an issue, but there is no convenient way from VA. I'd love if they did MPP, Charlottesville, and VA Beach every tour. That would surround everything. If they spaced them where 2 of the 3 were in different legs, then I think you'd have strong attendance.

To be honest, we went to MPP on Tuesday night to see Robert Plant, that show is a must see if you're a Zep fan, and getting there was a nightmare. My wife was our DD so we had no concerns getting home and we had pavillion seats so the view was awesome.

Yes it was nice to buy cheap decent beer.

RFK was good in the old hfstival days. Don't remember too much of how it sounded for various reasons though...Is it still in use? I remember it shaking for 'skins games. That may be too big now anyway. The show at Nats park was good, there wasn't much around it then and only a little more now from what I hear.

assuming Jiffy Lube Live at least comes -close- to selling out, that's a lot of extra money they'd be leaving on the table by moving the D.C. area show to Merriweather.

(Not that they need it... har har)

Hershey is off the tour because it isn't a LiveNation venue. (So I've been told.)

I saw them at MPP in 2004. I thought it was a great show. I haven't been in a few years, but MPP did wonders to the parking, even though it is still a bitch to get out of Columbia, in general. I know nothing about lawn, since I always sit in the pavilion, but I can't imagine that they would be "too big" for MPP. Their fan base had to be bigger in '04 right???

Hmmm. Fiddler's Green in Colorado isn't either (unless something's changed very recently) but they're doing a two-nighter there later this summer

and as was mentioned, it's not a good trip to MPP if you live in Northern, VA. As an Alexandria resident, I would much prefer Capital One Arena to MPP. My wife doesn't like arenas or stadiums though...so, we're good with amphitheaters. Ideally we'd also hit VA Beach, but the hotel prices in the summer are ridiculous.

aw just make the drive back to NoVA / Central MD right after the Virginia Beach show, it's not tooooo bad.

Well, unless they close down EVERY FRIGGING LANE OF I-95 NEAR FREDRICKSBURG FOR CONSTRUCTION (this happened to us twice while driving back up from a show in VBeach... once in 2014 and again the following year, I believe).

Except I'm Baltimore...so I'd rather not...4.5 hour drive after a Dave show is not my idea of fun. lol I did it after Bristow and drove 6.5 hours to Ohio to pick up my new dog. Totally worth the trip, but not fun. haha

true, especially if you don't have someone to split the driving duties with.
