I am not looking for any.. I just wanted to know what the band did to keep people from getting the recordings. I heard from someone that the band asked to get their own personal frequency (I.e. Like radio has a specific freq, and airplane, cops, digital converter box and so on..) Anyone know anything about this.

Pretty sure they just encrypt the transmissions. Although people have still been recording recent shows.

IEM recordings are awesome. Hearing interactions between the band adds a lot to it all.

There is one where they were talking about christmas song and then played halloween, and there is hilarious interaction between Carter and Dave about "devil music, devil music!"

Radio Frequency at shows is specifically for the wireless IEM and wireless FOH systems. They have to request, per city, a private frequency that is not in use. This is to make sure there's no radio interference when they're performing.

I think they just assume noone is at the show with a radio trying to listen to them. As far as I know, they dont record their IEMs, its just a radio transmission.

i used to have them prob still do, i mean they are cool, but a lot of the times they are just talking about the music.... they rarely talk about the fans... its usually, damn carter you fucking nailed that shit...

Did something happen? Were they ever caughht saying something bad?

Well Im pretty sure FCC law says you cant be on the same frequency as something like a radio station, tv, etc. But TV is not at all in that range I guess.

You're right. It has a lot to do with FCC laws. They need to have a private frequency to run all their wireless systems off of. Same with lasers. Lasers require a FCC and FAA representative on scene at all times to make sure the lasers coordinates do not interfere with flight paths.

IEM's are cool to listen to when you know an exact point of a song to skip to to hear something funny, but other than that it's just a regular recording. i can definitely understand why the band wouldn't want them to be recorded though.

i can just picture an IEM being released with something like this being said by Dave:

"So I was browsing the internet last night and was checking out that fan site of ours, antsmarching.org, and let me tell ya what, bunch of fuckin whiners and complainers on there if you ask me."

the outlash on here would be amazing/hilarious

anyone have a torrent link for an IEM show? i didn't find 2000-12-04 on DT, and i don't know of any others off the top of my head
not sure if IEMs are even posted on DT

I have a listing in my office.I also have all that were around for a while. I saw someone get busted at a show trying to record IEM's(Rochester Dec 2005). Somehow they pin pointed where the guy was and they came right up to him and opened his coat and escorted him out.. Am I certain that was what he was doing?? No, but he did have some complicated shit under his coat
