yeah Hotel was really satisfying and had a TON of aspects i loved, and that world of time travel and ghosts was just really cool. it actually felt really cohesive except for the Ten Commandments stuff towards the end. only seen it once so it’s fuzzy

We didn't get a Tate Langdon or a Fiona Goode or a Twisty the Clown or a Dandy Mott, etc. It was atmospheric as hell, and obviously heavy on satire and social commentary, but there's nothing overly memorable about it from a character/storyline standpoint.
I won't grade it until Part 2 is completed, but it's clearly not on the level of the first 3 seasons. Coven remains my favorite.

i definitely think splitting up the season works for how the story was laid out and focused, it’s just the rushed ending like Clay said. the take many people online have is that this is the writer Falchuk’s fault, but i don’t know enough of Murphy’s other work to know for sure. i think for this season in particular they chose a social commentary ending as opposed to a sensible plot ending, which sucked. just a lack of vision from the writers room. i get this show isn’t prestige enough to get panties in a bunch about but sheeeesh a bad finale sucks regardless of what’s going on
however, i think the Pale folks were VERY memorable, as was Alma. that kid killed it. not quite Twisty level but she was definitely the star that will be remembered.
