11/22/63 is my favorite King book of all time, and honestly one of my favorite novels of all time period

It's my favorite Stephen King book (admittedly out of only the 5 or 6 I've read) and in my top 3 of all books I've read. I've discussed and bragged about it so much that both my wife and mother have plans to read it.

Another of my favorite “contemporary” King books. Lightning fast just like 11/22/63 and also compelling throughout the entire thing.

The heavy in the book, can’t remember his name, is also a great heavy.

In the short TV Series Dean Norris player him.

After watching the second trailer for the new Pet Sematary, I'm not as enthused with what it looks like they changed about the story.

    Yea... it's not good.

A decent amount of his endings are like that though. Needful Things comes to mind.

For a 1000+ page book there was no reason for the ending to be rushed, but it felt that way.

Damn, I'm excited about reading Needful Things.

Needful Things is great. It just has kind of a corny ending.

It didn't do much for me, found it rather long-winded like Tommyknockers.

Not sure I've ever had as fast a read with King as my first read through The Stand (full version) in 1991 or 11/22/63 when it first came out.

Salem's Lot and Pet Semetary were the two scariest books for me, I read them in the 80s when i was just into my teen years. Fuck me they were scary as shit. Some James Herbert books (way more popular in the UK) were like that too, I'd like to re-read the Rats trilogy soon.

Under the Dome had some really great P2P stuff.

Tommyknockers was just like 400 pages of digging a hole.

Yeah I enjoyed Under the Dome, ending is what it is and didn't spoil the ride for me.

Also my previous post I should have put "It" in quotations as given I started my sentence with the word it appears in the flow of the thread I may have been referring to Under the Dome, I was definitely referring to "It" the book. I look forward to the conclusion of the new movie version.

Under the Dome has one of the more satisfying conclusions to a longer King book I've ever read.

The ending didn't ruin it for me, but I didn't think it was as good as the rest of the book.

I'm just talking new releases, not old. Any new release that comes out.

I mean, the hard covers are normally somewhere around $30 or so.

I felt the same way, but the reviews out of SXSW are fairly positive. The girl who plays Ellie is supposedly the standout.
