Counterpoint to this: look at how effective the Benghazi -> Emails probe was.
Also, FWIW, other polling still has trust in Mueller pretty high (this was conducted around the same time as the one Rog posted):

Sure, if the probe ended today and we don't get a public report (or a heavily redacted one), then the Dems will have to pivot. But there's still a few game changers that could happen, most notably an indictment of Don Jr. Or Kushner. That's still not a smoking gun, but I think that would be pretty hard for POTUS to shake.
He is, though, still Teflon Don. And part of me does think he could literally shoot someone in the middle of 5th Ave and not lose a vote.
