I tried to fit Arizona Wilderness in but we just had too much going on with family to get out to Gilbert. I expect to be out there again before the end of the year so hopefully Ill be able to try it then. Wrenhouse was cool. It was small and packed but the beer made it all worth the trip. Had a BA Pie Thief and their newest stout (Happy to Donut) aged in a maple syrup cask. So legit. Brought home a four pack of that stout and a four pack of Elevated IPA from La Cumbre I found at Safeway. Great trip overall though. Ive been going to Phoenix the past couple of years around March and I always ask myself if I could live there. But then I remember it gets to 120 in July. No thanks

They’re doing another print of the Mr Rogers glasses. You can preorder until Monday.

    https://store.hopculture.com/products/mr-rogers-glass

This will blow the secondary value but I was keeping this regardless.

$20 for that? Yikes. I'm not a huge glass person... I have enough, but prefer simple designs. $12 is probably the most I've spent.

Yes, its illegal...but so is just about every box of beer you ship and receive.

Whats your beef with this particular auction? There are dozens of auctions on ebay for this beer alone, lol.

Ive warned ebay about this multiple times and they dont seem to care.

Kicker is, an 18 year old can sign up for an ebay account, and have beer shipped to their house technically.

Thats a lawsuit waiting to happen for ebay if a minor is able to purchase alcohol on their site.

So if anyone wants to sue ebay...

    This is the problem.

Shipping beer for trades im aware is illegal but USPS and Fed ex are well aware of it themselves and basically let it go.

But this one in particular is that stupid hyped beer which doesnt have good reviews at all but people are clamoring for it because CBS blasted it to every local station in the US claiming it tastes like a bowl of lucky charms (even though that was never a claim made by the brewery). 200 for a 4 pack of any IPA that isnt king julius is beyond laughable, especially something which is truly this mundane and has been done hundreds of times.

Someone apparently sold a 4 pack of this for $450 the day it was released. Also saw reports of people driving in from hundreds of miles away to only miss getting cans.

The whole thing is just a ridiculous racket and its a shame this is how many people were introduced into the craft beer scene.

Well not a minor, but someone under the legal drinking age.

Unfortunately its not a federal issue, as drinking age is enforced by state law.

The caveat of selling alcohol on eBay simply by stating the bottles are empty (while clearly showing pictures and practically acknowledging the opposite) has been going on for as long as I remember using eBay and I definitely agree that it is turning a blind but in reading through their rules for listing I'd say they'd be in the clear legally. The seller is the one breaking law if they use USPS and just asking for trouble by using UPS or FedEx without a license and checking state laws.

I had a 2019 KBS Friday purely to keep my annual acquisition going.

My thoughts... It was KBS. Nothing really different to me personally. Glad I only bought a single, and not a 4pack.

Havent grabbed any yet. Might pick it up.

I heard they doubled production on it last year. Probably why it fell off. I dont really remember what I thought about '18, which means it was forgettable. Still have a couple bottles from last year in the cellar.

I was thinking of just grabbing one to drink now and one to age. They're only $7.99 so whatever. I just haven't really understood the hype for it. There are so many better barrel aged stouts out there...I guess it's bc it's mass produced and available everywhere pretty much

given the boom in the BA market in general, I think all of the Founders BA beers have fallen off the hype train significantly. CBS is still on the shelves here...

Yea that’s true too. Last year’s flew off the shelves and was meh (IMO), and this years has been much easier to get and was a lot better so go figure!

KBS is my favorite BA from founders.

CBS isnt worth my time anymore, so many better maple stouts. I had a draft of '18, still have a '17 in the basement. Actually thought 18 was better than 17, but I also had it at the Founders production facility in Grand Rapids about a week after the release so maybe that was why.
