Paper Setlist questions

Was lucky enough to have Raab find me at CMAC and he brought me a D+T setlist by surprise. Really cool guy.

Just curious, any ideas on how to display them other than framed with show poster?

Also, any setlist experts, who would be highlighting the 2 Tim solos? Guitar tech? Guessing Dave and Tim don't mark up the paper sets.

Thanks.

Wondering if it's Tim's tech who highlighted his songs.

Usually when songs are highlighted, it's Monk (?) indicating which songs require non-standard tuned guitars. Drop-D songs like Crush and DDTW, Raised-B songs like Stay or Leave, etc.

Yeah, not sure...just had 2 green highlights for Tim's solos. I've seen the yellow multi song highlights on band sets before.

I've always wondered how easy they are to duplicate. It's cool that they've always been the same format.

The format can be pretty easy to duplicate / replicate, but they have this digital firedancer 'stamp' on them that's always placed in the same position on the set..I think they have specific kerning for it too.

They print on standard 8.5" x 11". Just measured one. It's 8.5 tall, 3.5 wide. That's 3 per sheet in landscape with a little spacing between each to make up the extra half inch.

Normal printer with them spaced out. Then some shows have full page ones - pretty rare to see that but I've seen a few. Most recent full page one I've seen is Dave and Tim... Alpharetta 2017 I think. By full page I mean they literally just print 1 setlist in the normal size on the full sheet. Doesn't happen much.

Tim's tech. Tim's setlist at DMB shows has the different guitars highlighted on his own setlist too. And Craig's (Dave's tech) has handwritten notes on it.

Don’t know if belongs in this thread, but does anyone want a 2019 Nashville set list I got from the show? I’ll even throw in the warehouse ticket

    I have a decent collection of them (15) and I currently have them in a 8.5 x 11 portfolio.

Monk hasn’t been Dave’s guitar tech for 20 years or so. You’ve lost your street cred hopewell.

You can get them at the sound booth. If you're patient, once the show ends, a lot of the times you can sneak into pit (or just walk in) as they're breaking down the stage. Many of the crew members have them and hand them out. Sometimes not until 10-20 min after the show ends.

Nope, I was in 1st row of 3rd section. Got lucky when Dave's voice coach sat 2 seats away and I said hello. He came back during the encore with the highlighted set.

Not even close dude. A question mark would imply you think you know. This is like me saying so Dave's current guitar is a Chet? Like 25 years off.
