Re: ***Labor Day Weekend at the Gorge 2020***

There are two separate bars that overlook the gorge to the left of the state. Cliff House as YNK noted is exclusive access for Oasis, VIP, Box Seats and Season Tickets, or Pay to Play. There are flush toilets here, the only ones inside the venue.

There is another lookout bar deck area area immediately to the left of the stage that is accessible by everyone, but I believe the drinks you buy there have to stay there. It gets very busy but has GREAT views and is worth popping in to see at least once.

Bored at work so and have a little FOMO as I see the Gorge chatter going on so... Random Gorge Tips/Opinions from my 3 years attending-

    - No one in my group was an experienced camper, more of the opposite really, we camped in Premier each year and it was great. No issues whatsoever. Wouldn't attend Gorge without camping.
    - if possible, get into Seattle N00 (Wednesday) rather than N0 (Thursday). It can be quite a hectic and draining day to do all you have to get to the Gorge even on Thursday on top of a 5+ hour flight for east coasters
    - if you're used to seats for shows, get seats at least 2/3 nights
    - find solar powered string lights on amazon to hang outside your canopy. hang a lantern from the top of your canopy. that should be enough.
    - Evergreen Market is a great dispensary in the Renton area
    - Preorder all your camping extras/tailgate stuff like coolers from Walmart/Dicks wherever like a week or so before (key an eye on the stores hold times) and set it for In-Store Pickup so you 1) know it will be there when you arrive 2) don't have to worry about showing up to Walmart and them running out of coolers or whatever. We did our shopping in Renton, WA
    - You'll want more than 1 cooler, no matter the size of your group
    - if you're into them, bring more seltzers than Beer
    - for coffee in the morning, buy the 4 packs of Dunkin or Starbucks iced at the grocery store and keep in the cooler rather than walking up to the Pivot for coffee every morning. The lines can get long in the morning for coffee and sometimes you don't feel like waiting/walking up to the pivot early.

yep, but since you can't take your drinks in/out make sure you go before the show starts.

also - there's a new deck they built in the lawn above the middle merch booth that overlooks the stage and has elevated views of everything. I don't think it costs extra, but I was always too distracted to go up and check it out.

    LAME.

just kidding. the people that do gold all seem to love gold.

I've stayed in premier every year since 13 and won't change for the same reasons. I love tradition and routines.

for the most part, i find that once you find your spot, you tend to keep it. not a lot of moving around year to year. I think that just goes to show no matter where you are, it's good.

I'm sure but we felt that Renton was better as the Walmart/Dicks/dispensary are very close to one another. This was also because of our in-store orders being available here.

I don't even know what that is. it's relatively new. I think they rope off part of the terraced lawn, but no idea how to get those tickets. I'm sure it just requires paying more

edit: unless you're talking about WH reserved lawn..

Yeah I have a friend in Seattle who mentioned she has done it for other shows there and it is a little more expensive. I didn't love the idea because I already requested 3-day passes through warehouse haha ... Just wanted to get some perspective

There’s a WH reserved lawn like they have at all the other venues but it didn’t seem like many people used it when I’d walk by.

From what I can remember last year, there was no reserved lawn. In 2018, it was in the fenced area below the terrace "Warehouse" lawn. It was a $30 charge and you got access to the Cliff House. That was worth it to me.

I've camped in Standard, Premier & Gold. I prefer Gold only due to location. I was back at camp in minutes after the show.

well, to be fair--you're back at your camp in minutes if you camp in Standard as well...just a lot more minutes than if you'd camped in Gold
