MTV Crashing the Quarter

In 96 all shows were great, because they only had good songs. Do people expect to see a bad set when they look at shows from 96?

i have a feeling that the energy from the 2008 tour will be unlike anything the band and crew have seen before.

yea, i was just kidding. i was basically mocking the WH e-mails that were sent this year that announced the release of the 2007 shows. they placed a big emphasis on location and "energy".

I have both of these on VHS somewhere, as well as one from VH1 where Dave had a weird yellow guitar strap, if I remember right.

The best part from the Crashing the Quarter broadcast is Dave talks about how it looks like he peed his pants on MTV.

Yeah, sorry about that then. It's just often around here you see people saying stuff like that. The day after one tour ends they're predicting how amazing the next is gonna be.

Actually that in the bolded is'nt completely true, theres a webcast of the hole live in chicago concert and he's playing a chet in that. I was just watching it earlier..such a good concert

this is classic old school dmb from i believe 96 right after Crash came out. It was really awesome seeing them play (at least on tv) during their younger years in the nineties. Dave is ridiculously energetic throughout the whole show and i highly reccommend everyone download this and watch it.

P.S. there a really awesome performance of Say Goodbye from this.

Great thread! I just dug out my copy of this on VHS, dusted it off and watched. I forgot how Dave used to throw his guitar wildly in the air. He used to end every show like that, with his little jump and the guitar going over his head. His energy on stage was one of the reasons I was so drawn to this band back then.
