I'll echo the people saying the sound was kinda bad last night. We were in the dead center of the amphitheater, where we've been for two other shows here and had great sound both times, and it was hard to hear a lot of the solos. Not sure why it was bad last night compared to other times they've played here, but it was still a hell of a show. Hope everyone going to WPB travels safe!

Hey everyone. Give me a day (max) on the tape. Listened last night and it sounds good from the left stack up front. We had 2 other tapers in the building I talked to last night too. I sent it over to my friend Zach who likely can get it up today. Was just too wiped to edit post show last night after 4~ hours of sleep after Alpharetta.

So the sound under the stack was phenomenal. Very clean and crisp. In the back of the pit when I went to walk around, it was so bad that you couldn’t hear Dave singing So Right. And man it’s so quiet... but Tampa has the sound restriction on the decibels there like the Zurich arena. Very noticeable starting at the back of the pit and rest of the venue.

Setlist was AWESOME. Man, I’d have loved Sweet Up and Down. WPB will get it but we could have had 2 in FL this weekend, ha.

I am PUMPED for this weekend now. 3/4 of these sets have been pretty phenomenal.

Regarding the sound, it was definitely muffled during the first few, but it started to get better in the later parts of Seek Up and was noticeably better during So Right. That said, I was in 14, dead center, Row K--Dave was directly in front of me. I couldn't hear Tim well most of the night but the horns weren't bad. When doing drink runs it was BAD on the sides, and noticeably better in the middle, but never as good as it should be being right in the middle. We left halfway through WIA and weren't expecting Stay to come on on the way out. GREAT night albeit a sweaty mess!

Bottom line, they need the violin!!!! If not Boyd, then bring someone in to play. It is such an intricate sound of the band that is sorely missing. Buddy is good, adds a different vibe but on their epic songs it truly is not the same without the violin. Just bring in someone!!! Never realized how much i missed it

This 100%. Credit to the band for trying to play around the missing piece but the violin brings a different level of energy that was sorely missed.

The low point of the night for me was to see so many Warehouse tickets being sold by scalpers on the way to the entrance. Some were better seats than what I got through Warehouse.
The sound in Section 10 was muffled also. It got better from Satellite onwards but it was tough to hear the horns. Great crowd, which is a hit or miss here. Tampa suffers from the “penultimate show before the break” syndrome. Sometimes they seem tired when they get here before their night off to play WPB and go on their tour break. Last night they were firing on all cylinders. I can see the absence of new songs and that energetic set becoming a Live Release.

what a great show, i thought the crowd was very tuned in from where i was standing, back right pit area. the sound was very muddy in the center pit, way worse than in past years. it seemed to get better going to the side of the pit and later on in the show. best Grey Street i have ever heard, they are playing slower, it sounds so much more dynamic, plus third verse is awesome. typical situation was best i have ever heard too. i miss dave being more aggressive with this vocals at the end of YMDT, otherwise that was awesome too. crap encore imho, but gives me time to get to my car and beat the crowd. id give it a A minus. WPB is in for a treat.

What time did they start the show in Tampa? In the past, most outdoor shows I attended started like 8:15-8:30 but my friend told me Raleigh started closer to 7:30?

I think they've been coming on around 740-745 definitely seem to be adding about 15 minutes to their sets this year which is great.
