What hotels? I booked the other day and when I searched the Marriott website it looked like there were multiple Fairfield Inn’s / Courtyards that were in the $100ish per night range, which seems normal. But I’ve never booked downtown.

Last couple of years there has been some off brand comic-con thing happening but I dont see it for 2019. Adolphus is sold out too just strange.

Dallas is big enough, you'll find a hotel for a good price.

for as big/busy as dallas is, hotels are always so much less than other cities (IE: philly).

I am a reasonably high income individual, but man I cannot handle modern ticket prices. The thought of spending ~$300 for my wife and I to go to a show at the Woodlands (and still risk having tickets in the uppers) may be too much for me to stomach. How do average fans have this kind of money?

Let's talk ticket request strategy (you lawn heathens need not reply)

With the Warehouse raising the limit on Pit tickets to 4, do you plan to request the max or just the number you need? Do you think the number you request has a bearing on your chance at getting pit, in other words, are you more likely to get pit by requesting 2 than 4.

Obviously there will be fewer people selected to buy pit tickets this time around, but I can't help but think I should request the max knowing there are folks on here I can help out if I pull pits. The big risk is having more terrible uppers to have to try and dump.

Busted Stuff has not been played in The Woodlands since 2002, and not at all since 2010

In 26 shows, Captain has never been played at The Woodlands

then again, neither has Spoon.

Doing Woodlands and Dallas again this year. I don't stay in Houston after the show. I just drive my happy ass back to Dallas that night so I get to sleep in the next day. We have followed the buses a couple times over the years.

Also doing Gorge this year. We are getting married in Seattle on 8/29 and then heading to the Gorge the next day as a mini-moon. We are going to do Italy or something in the spring.

Those happen to be the two biggest gaps in my personal DMB almanac.

Booked Hilton Garden Inns in both Dallas and Woodlands, but I'm debating if I want to do my tickets through Warehouse. I have no interest in the pit. Should I wait for instants or even Ticketmaster?

You can opt out of pit.

If you don't mind sitting in the uppers, Warehouse is the way to go.


Don't opt out of pit though. If you somehow do get pit, you can trade them for great seats.

There aren't really any bad hotels in The Woodlands. Even that super cheap Days Inn is fine. We stayed there several years during the Iron Man debacles.

uhhhh...only like almost every year since 06. have friends that live in Spring now so it's unneeded, but i love the drury.

We have a new one in the woodlands on the freeway called Hotel Blue. It just opened so the murdered hooker count there is probably still pretty low. Being so new it might not be a total wreck and it's $89 for the night of the show.
