and i am naive here, but in terms of the possibility of igniting global conflict, isn’t Russia the country to be more concerned with? with their interest in land expansion and the way they dabble in the Middle East?

If we actually were, ya know, a world leader; we'd have testing and screening capabilities that would ensure a high rate of safety for children and teachers + school workers.

Instead we have a President who wants less testing and huge delays on results for the standard type of testing, while the rapid tests are highly inaccurate.

One of the venues I work at does temp checks upon entry for patrons. If it's over 100 they require you to sit in the shade for 15 minutes and then take it again. If it's still over, you have to go home... basically, "hey you might be sick but please sit over here infecting those around you in case you just got overheated"

My point was that China is more capable of doing real damage.

However, I probably shouldn’t forget how fucking dumb the American public is. So Russia’s plan to prey on that stupidity again is probably more concerning. I need to stop thinking like a smart person when it comes to the election.

I have COVID 19. I’ve had it for a while now. For a lot of the time during it, my temperature has fluctuated from 96.8 to 101.2, usually staying under 100. I feel like death. Temp meters are freaking dumb.

I think Russia is smart enough to not ignite a major conflict. I don’t think China cares as much because I think China believes they should be the dominant world power. I also think Russia realizes it’s weaknesses and strengths. Meddling in elections is a strength. Fighting a war with the United States is something it would lose.

I got tested this afternoon, Bo. If results come back positive, let's plan a make-out sesh soon.

But I'm seriously scared shitless. I'm not a very healthy person, and I have underlying immunodeficiency issues being a diabetic. I've been extremely cautious since the beginning of the outbreak, but I've had no way of ensuring that the people closest to me practiced the same degree of caution.
