There's a ton of people out there who think she is actually the show's villain and that she's going to be the Mad Queen.
Rooting for someone who burns people alive with fire-breathing dragons while everyone else is still wrestling in the mud with swords. Not exactly someone you'd empathize with in a vacuum.

Thing is, and this speaks to what's so damn great about the show... ultimately, I'm not sure there's any other thing/way she could've gone in that opening moment in last week's show. She did give the soldiers a very clear path. I won't even hold it against you that you were trying to kill me, my men and my dragons here on this field today. I want to help provide you with a better life than your queen who literally couldn't care less about you does. BUT, if you actively make that decision against me now... here's your inevitable resolution. And yea of course I understand why Tyrion was freaking out and advocating for what he was. But really, COULD she have simply "just" stick them in a cell for a couple weeks? At that point, would at least some people not regarded that as enough weakness to still give them ideas?
What's kinda more fucked up is how easily Randall Tarly was all about bending his knee and doing anything for Cersei all a sudden.
although, this is the same prick who clearly got off on needling and humiliating his own son...
