Article came out that Watson “regrets” impact of lawsuits but maintains innocence lmfao. In a country that probably couldn’t make 25 random people come to an agreement on anything if our lives depended on it…it speaks volumes that (at least) 25 women are all giving the same story more or less. This dude should be indefinitely banned and the NFL should consider revoking control of Cleveland’s franchise over how embarrassing this matter is. Obviously none of that will happen and Watson will sit out his 4-6 games. Just bonkers.

Curious if the other 4 were offered the same settlement and are holding out for more.

This was brought up in my group chat with some buddies - will the NFL levy similar or lesser suspensions on this than they did with Josh Gordon? If it's less, the messaging from the NFL would essentially be that taking illicit substances is worse than sexually assaulting women, lying about it, and showing little to no remorse.

Pro sports punishments are a microcosm of the US. Anything with visceral evidence or that has a concrete result like a drug test will always be punished more severely than things that are arguably worse but can't be hyped/validated as easily and/or require more critical thinking/deductive reasoning to comprehend the severity of.
