Hi all, hope all has been good around here. Thrilled about the D&T tour, didn't know if i'd ever get a chance to see them. Traveling to the Chicago shows with my girlfriend - 300s on the side for N1, 200s thru WH for N2!

I was apprehensive about lawn for a D&T show, especially after seeing all the negative reviews of the Northerly Island lawn. I read an article that LiveNation refunded thousands of tickets to lawn concert-goers at Jimmy Buffet a few years ago due to a large volume of complaints of how muddy it was and how bad the sound was. Happy to be pavilion, though we'll see how those 300s on the side end up.

Glad to have another year of Dave Matthews!

Ill be content with my two shows and maybe adding a 3rd depending how things go.

Pretty damn strong showing each night.

N1 looks fairly above average, a couple good runs (Minarets/Stone, Oh/Jimi/Two Step/WWYS/Ants) with a few lulls.

N2 sees Dodo, BOWA, and Fool to Think in a row, plus the first D&T Rooftop. 6 songs in and you've already got those under your belt... and the rest of the show looks pretty great, including finishing with Rapunzel

N3 the almanac has it summed up best:

    Quote:
First time The Song That Jane Likes has been played by Dave & Tim since 3.14.99.
First time Raven has been played by Dave & Tim since 7.15.12.
First time Dive In has been played by Dave & Tim since 11.18.11.
First time Help Myself has been played since 6.29.13 and first time by Dave & Tim since 12.9.10.
First time Tripping Billies has been played as a closer at a Dave & Tim show since 1.20.99.
First time Stay (Wasting Time) has been by Dave & Tim since 3.13.99 and first ever time in the encore at a Dave & Tim show.
Plus a new cover each night (I really like Worried Man Blues). I'd probably give the 3 night stand a solid A.

The first night was rather pedestrian and I think what most people expected of the D&T (Really solid show though, given) but the next 2 nights was really an eclectic mix of dusting off some tunes, taking chances on ones they hadn't tackled before, new covers, standards, staples, classics and even a new song. The things people are begging and looking for not just Dave & Tim, but full band for that matter.

I really don't understand how people can be "meh" after N2 and N3. No wonder Dave just says fuck it and plays what he wants. Personally, I'm much more optimistic after the Mexico shows than the 2 Texas ones.

I agree, and I was at both Texas shows. Both shows were a great time, but setlist wise they didn't have the wow factor.

I have a ticket to each night in Chicago. I was thinking of only hitting one, but I think I am going to try to hit both.

Northerly Island lawn is a shithole. I would only ever go back if I had seats. Terrible venue.

What's up creek. Still ticketless for D&T, as I can't decide if I even want to go to Northerly Island.

Got decent Metallica tickets, which 16 year old Nines is pumped about. Anyone else going?

I am also ticketless as no one has offered to pay me to go to Northerly Island yet. My brother once went to see Metallica but left before they came on stage. His girlfriend was mad that Limp Bizkit had been booed off stage so she made him leave.

I'll be both nights in Nashville. Just got my N1 tickets this week thanks to an awesome ant on here.

Never been to Northerly Island, don't see myself ever going.

Haven't seen Metallica before, but i've heard nothing but good things about their shows.
