anyway, i love the catchy, funky beat in L'via (that's stuck in my head right now), and i guess i'd have to say that Miranda is my least fave, but only b/c the "noises" go on for so long before any singing, and then when the singing comes in, it's kinda slow and like... meh, i dunno. i guess it's a part of the album that'll just grow on me. still good though.

nonetheless, i think these guys are incredible. i love that they're so different. it's refreshing in the music scene these days, y'know? Omar is amazing on the guitar - i love that intro on L'via.

okay. as i said before, bravo, TMV! ok, time to pass out soon... 'night, y'all.
John Frusciante plays lead guitar on L'Via.

I enjoy Comatorium a little bit more over FTM(new album). I think De-Loused in the Comatorium is esier to listen to, where as Frances the Mute I need to be in a certain frame of mind to listen to it...mainly because of all the ambient sounds/noises.

Just a heads up, there is a nice cover story in the Alternate Press (AP) magazine. I've yet to read the full article but what I have was pretty good.

sparta's dull. the only two good songs I've heard from them are air and cut your ribbon. drive-in had one truly amazing album - relationship of command - before they broke up. everything they did before that record is pretty unlistenable.

Hey, just listened to de-loused for the first time. It's pretty cool, I like it. They remind me more of Yes than zepp or floyd though. Also reminds me of that War of the Worlds album from the 70s. That was some good prog prock.

L' Via L' Viaquez is awesome. Best song on FTM. I just love the Spanish influence on the breakdown sections.

Same here. I've never seen DMB, or any of those other bands for that matter, but Volta gets me most excited when I think about seeing them.

I've downloaded a bunch of videos, and like ATDI, they are pretty high-energy, although not as much. Very dark with a lot of background lights and an ambient kind of feel. When the song is fast, they move around a lot, when it is slow, they don't. Cedric can shake his hips and has some very fluid movement. He also swings around the mic like nobody I've ever seen.

You probably didn't want that detailed, but hey. I love this band.

can someone give me a correct track listing? i've looked everywhere..and can't find a correct one.

    mine is:

    Cygnus...Vismund Cygnus
    The Widow
    L'via L'Viaquez
Maranda That Ghost Just Isn't Holy Anymore A: Vade Mecum
Maranda That Ghost Just Isn't Holy Anymore B: Pour Another Icepick
Maranda That Ghost Just Isn't Holy Anymore C: Pisacis (Phra-Men-Sha)
Maranda That Ghost Just Isn't Holy Anymore D: Con Safo
    Cassandra Gemini A: Tarantism
Cassandra Gemini B: Plant a Nail in the Navel Stream
    Cassandra Gemini C: Faminepulse
Cassandra Gemini D: Multiple Spouse Wounds
    Cassandra Gemini E: Sarcophagi

now...that's for iTunes...Win Media Player has the one previoulsy listed by another poster. Should Maranda B->D be Cassandra Gemini?

As was said earlier, the album goes as such:

    1. Cygnus...Vismund Cygnus
    2. The Widow
    3. L'via L'Viaquez
    4. Maranda That Ghost Just Isn't Holy Anymore A: Vade Mecum
    5-12. Cassandra Geminni

It was supposed to just be 5 tracks, but that would make it an EP, so they split up the last song to give it enough tracks to be a normal CD.

No, the splitting of the tracks has nothing to do with the movements. Just random.
