Thanks for the reminder of this! There was an additional image of the full handwritten setlist on the main website for Pilgrimage, which aligned with the printed setlist that Jeff posted on his IG. Looks like they did call an audible with Warehouse, which wasn't on the handwritten/printed setlists. Maybe they looked at the clock after Grey St, realized they were gonna end significantly early, and pulled out Warehouse to close the gap.
From my recollection at Pilgrimage they hit the stage right at their scheduled time of 6:30pm, and finished Watchtower at like 8:26pm (4 minutes shy of the 8:30pm curfew). Almanac's total song time clocks them at 1 hr 42 minutes (102 minutes). So out of 116 minutes of stage time there was 14 minutes of downtime (about a minute between songs, which feels about right to me).
DMB also had a scheduled 2-hr slot at Railbird Fest (8:45-10:45pm), but the almanac's timing of the tape has them at 2 hrs 4 minutes of song time. If you add 1 minute of downtime between each non-segue song (about 11 minutes) and a traditional encore break which Pilgrimage didn't have (2-3 minutes), you get a total stage time of like 2 hrs 18 minutes. So was Railbird just more lax about their curfew, and DMB ended up playing there until like 11pm? Perhaps since Railbird was at a racetrack, they could worry less about curfew vs. Pilgrimage which butts right up against residential areas. Railbird's set had 3 songs that that were 10+ minutes (Two Step, Jimi, and Crush), and Pilgrimage had no songs over 10 minutes.
Not griping, just interesting that 2 festival bookings - both scheduled for 2 hours each - had a 22 minute difference in song time.
