But, if you think about it:
Setting arbitrary end dates was the stupid part.
This was before the delta variant became the dominant strain.
Vaccines to the general pop happened faster than originally expected
Vaccines for 12+ came faster than expected
Since science can tell us now it’s a good idea to wear a mask in certain areas and certain situations, it was perfectly fine to tell us back in April that it was ok for vaccinated people to not wear one
The issue wasn’t setting one date and moving it or giving one piece of guidance and updating it. The situations were entirely different. The issue is the delta strain and too many still unvaccinated.
I gave up caring a long time ago about the people not getting vaccinated. I’m starting to lose patience on the under 12 not having access yet.
